If he returned tonight, on September 11th, he would get the most heat in wrestling history. What do you guys think? I mean I know this will never happen, but a man can dream right?

If he returned, I don't know if it would be in terribly bad taste for WWE, or if it would be the most brilliant heat magnet move in the history of wrestling. It would either be really awesome or really, really terrible, depending on how the live crowd would take it.

I really don't think we have to worry about him returning very much, but I have to say, that bringing him back in NYC would be right up Vince's alley. Every year since Hassan's been gone, this subject comes up, and every year, nothing happens. Can't see this year being any different.

I really think all they would have to do is play that music, that alone would get HUGE heat. Maybe beat up Hacksaw? idk

True, but this has been speculated upon so much, it seems like at least two or three.

I would love it, depending on how they booked him. If he was booked like how he was when he first debuted, I'd have a wrestlegasm, if he was booked like on that infamous SD! inncident, not so much. If he got booked like he was at WM 21, I'd throw a shoe through the TV screen, Konann style.

I wouldn't find it offensive if he came back. Hassan's gimmick is that he's American but people are prejudice against him because of his Arab heritage.

actually, it could end up being not-tastless. If he came in and said "I hate America"(which he never did) and said "America deserves to be attacked" then it would be tastless, but if he says "Don't judge me based on my past indiscretions, I just want another chance" then it will be in good taste.

True, but WWE never stick to lofty concepts like that.
Hassan's initial character was superb as an Arab-American who just wanted a chance.
Then WWE fell back on laziness and he became a terrorist.
They did the same thing with Eugene, promising that he would be a respectful portrayal of a handicapped person with real talent acheiving his dreams, but he ended up being a lower-brow Bushwhacker.

I agree with you 100%. If he came back as his original character in his first vignettes and his first few weeks on Raw, it'd be awesome, but I don't think that'd happen.

Hassan should come back and cut a pro-america face promo, and then get attacked by Samson the Garbarian.

Hassan can join the club. The WWE Tastless angles of the year Club. I would probably mark out but feel real shameful about it at the end.

I was gonna say, like a 14 year old at a Beatles concert......but, you know, I'm not old enough for that. No matter what my grandma thinks. She once asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I said I saw this book about John Lennon I would like. She says, "How old were you when the Beatles came?" I said, "Ummmmm, about -30 Grandma, mom was only 9." I'm 23, really showing my age you say.......
