"I just hope that Cleveland will forgive me."
They won't... getting stabbed in the heart by a hometown superstar tends to make people bitter like that.

I can't help but laugh at Cleveland sports fans. I feel sorry for them, but I'm still laughing. They just can't catch a break. And when they do, they fumble it. Not this time. The fans f***ing loved this guy. Having to watch him do an hour long self blowjob is absolutely terrible

So does this mean that Riley is going to take over at coach again? Does Charlie Daniels play a mean fiddle?

If Kobe and the Lakers should meet the Heat and win in the NBA Finals, Kobe's legend grows to that of, or perhaps exceeding Michael Jordan.

Thank you, I'm so sick of that illogical argument. No one does on their own. People wanted James to do the impossible. As long as he gets his rings, they're his rings. I don't care who he plays with. He just made the smartest or second smartest decision he could have. He coulda went to Chicago and along with the nucleus they have there, competed for a title. Instead, he basically cried SOS and made some shady pact with Wade and Bosh. My heart bleeds for Cleveland fans right now. (Also, somewhat for NY fans, who were beat over the head with Lebron to NY stories for 2 years) I agree with most of your points except for the last one. The Knicks don't really deserve any sympathy IMO.

I feel terrible for Cavalier fans, it must be horrible watching your franchise player reject you on national television. One thing that's going to be unbearable is all the bandwagon Heat fans that are sure to pop up. I must be honest though, I will try to go see the Heat, whenever they play the Grizz in Memphis.

Him stringing them along and allowing a glimmer of hope he's coming back, then doing an hourlong special on primetime to announce he's bolting for greener pastures. That's just f***ing vicious

It seems like a smart move......but one can always remember the 2004 Lakers for memory that sometimes, the supposed dream team doesnt get to go all the way.
In fact, the ironic thing about those 2004 Lakers losing in the finals was the way it happened. They got beat badly and were lucky enough to even win one game. And this was to a team that had no big names at the time. And the MVP of that series was a man nobody outside of Pistons fandom had ever heard of.
So you can get all the best players in the world, but in the end.....you got to play like a team and not like a bunch of stars.

He just made the smartest or second smartest decision he could have. We're supposed to sit here and swallow the hype, that LeBron is the best basketball player in the world. The agenda this whole off-season has been, "wherever he goes, they instantly become a championship contender." Why is that? How many rings does LeBron have on his fingers? The best players in the world are supposed to be capable of winning with whatever supporting cast they are given. But LeBron has proven, time and time again, that no matter what you give him, he can't close it out. And it's not just that he couldn't win it on his own, it's that he has now refused to win it on his own. He doesn't have the championship killer instinct that Bird, Magic or Jordan had. Do you think any of those three would have bailed on their teams whenever a sure thing came up? Hell no, because those three were natural-born winners who could look teammates in the eyes and say, "Piss off, I'm doing it on my own tonight." And they would do it on a routine basis. LeBron doesn't want to be the best, he just wants to be perceived as the best. Then there is no such thing as a great player as everyone you mentioned FAILED when not surrounded with great talent. Jordan = Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Grant...then the Wizards Magic = Rambis, Jabar, Worthy...then the return Bird = Parrish, McHale, Walton...then in 88 he had the best year of his career and has nothing to show for that. They all had guys they could rely on to take pressure off of them. LeBron has had none of that.

It'll be understandable that the Heat will get a surge in fans over this (like me jumping on the Celtics when they got their big three. Three of my favorite players ever, including Rondo from UK), but the ones that would bother me are the inevitable "NAW MAN, I WAS A FAN OF THE HEAT SINCE THE 90s!" tools. There's no shame in jumping on a team's bandwagon if you're a major fan of the new acquisitions, but holy shit, why do people have to pose like they're some long time supporter of a club? ...and when the Heat go to Cleveland, I'm doing all I can to get tickets.

This is also the worst thing to happen to the NBA, the worse thing to happen to a sports fan is to watch the same few teams win the title over and over. Whichs means unless barring miracle upsets and injury, the next five titles will probably be going to Heat, Lakers, or both...
...joy....

I know LeBron is Hogan. After all, he is the "3rd guy" and has the ego to give himself a one-hour promo.
But who's Hall and who's Nash? Is Wade Hall? Bosh?

I'm actually looking forward to next season now. Being a Bulls fan I wonder what they do now. But I will laugh my ass off if the Heat win 50 or less games and are knocked out in the second round of the playoffs, maybe the first.
BTW, is it just me or was this the plan all along by Wade, Bosh, and James? Was this whole period just stringing along everybody?
