This made my day. I honestly have a hard time believing anybody over the age of 17 still listens to Linkin Park, or ever did for that matter. I know I'm wrong. Meh. I'm almost 24 and I personally find that insulting. They're not one of my favorite bands, but they have some damn good music in my opinion. I also listen to bands that have been wrongfully derided as "children's music", as well as some ACTUAL children's music. If I think it's good I'll listen to it. I couldn't give two damns what kind of music it or who it's by.

What's the difference between old and new? Did Chester stop shrieking about how his dad didn't hug him and how tough it was being "male, middle-class, and white" and finally grow up? To me, it had nothing to do with the lyrics or the meaning, but the style and the "flow" of it all. They were good sing-along songs with great beats, kind of like the glam metal stuff from the '80s. I guess maybe I should have made myself a little more clearer in the beginning. I'm not a huge fan of LP like I was back then but I recently started listening to some of their stuff again and think it's a shame they phased out of the style that made me a fan of theirs all those years ago. So no, I'm not a whiny 15 year old. I may not be into them anymore, but most of their songs are still enjoyable. I'll take "Cure for the Itch" over any of the stuff everyone's precious Kings of Leon produce.
