Thought this could be a fun thread, since there's alot of movie talk in here, would be one where you post the last movie you've seen (either in theater or on Blu-Ray/DVD), and then rate it. Figure this could grow into an awesome thread. I'll start with what I watched last night ... Hot Tub Time Machine - 8/10 This is such a stupid concept, but such a cute movie. If you let reality escape you for a while, and just enjoy this movie for what it is, you'll absolutely love this thing. It's a shame this wasn't a bigger hit, and didn't make Rob Corddry a star, cause he stole the show with this. Jennifer's Body - 5/10 I'm secretly in love with Amanda Seyfried, but I can't stand Megan Fox. I had this from Netflix for a while, so I finally popped it in and it was awful. The dialogue was so cheesy that I cringed at points, and while I know cheesy dialogue was the point, there's "good cheese" and "bad cheese"; this was the later. There wasn't much redeemable about this. It's not even a bad horror movie in the "so bad you can't help but like it" way; this is just bad.

Watched Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason last night. Not nearly as good as Bridge Jones' Diary, but Hugh Grant cracked me up a ton in it.

Probably the last one I watched in full was Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Pretty underrated Disney flick IMO.

Every year at about this time, I go on a big time movie binge after several months of burnout from the previous year, and watch a ton of movies from the current year. I even rate them because for some reason, people care what I think on another forum. (I watched and rated 76 movies from 2009, thus the burnout)
Anyway, the last several movies ive seen are all 2010 flicks. Ill go in order of best to worst so far imo. Out of five stars, Toy Story 3 (****), Kick-Ass (***3/4), Alice in Wonderland (***3/4), How to Train Your Dragon (***3/4), The Book of Eli (***1/2), Shutter Island (***1/2), From Paris with Love (***1/4), Percy Jackson (***), Grown Ups (***), Eclipse (**3/4), Clash of the Titans (**3/4), Cop Out (**1/2)
Technically, Percy Jackson was the last one I saw. There are several other flicks ill be seeing today/tomorrow.

saw Primer last night. Really interesting concept but the dialogue was a little too dry and too much tecnobabble and hard to get into but the plot was very interesting and had a really awesome ending. I feel I have too watch it again to really get it though, so it might go up to 3 stars after a second viewing.
**3/4 stars

Last one I saw was Avatar. I'd give it a 8/10 but that's primarily for the visuals. It is a beautiful looking film. If I had to rate the story, I'd have to give it a 6/10. Ok, but nothing really memorable.

Toy Story 3: Great conclusion to the best trilogy in film (seriously). 5/5
Adventure land: heard a lot of good things but was really disappointed after watching it. The characters were interesting but the film fell victim to the typical cliches. 2/5
Shutter Island: entertaining and suspenseful 4.5/5
Big fan: Loved this movie. while im not a big football fan , it did remind me of several MMA/wrestling junkies I know. 4/5
Inception: very good (but still difficult to follow) movie. 5/5
Zombieland: hilarious and fun as hell to watch. Woody Harrelson was awesome and Jesse eissnburg (sp) won me over in this film. I am really wanting to see a squeal. 4.5/5

Inglorious bastards: it wasn't what I was expecting (didn't we have a thread on that?) but was still a decent film. Tarantino is really good at upping the tension in each scene but it I was disappointed that the bastards were hardly in it the movie.

In theaters, Inception (****1/2 out of *****), and on television, Jennifer's Body (*1/2, couldn't take it seriously).
