Eugene sucked at first, but eventually became popular before getting shoved down everyone's throats. The Spirit Squad was supposed to be a joke, but people also warmed up to them over time. The Mexicools and their lawnmowers were racial stereotypes, but they got good crowd responses. The Highlanders.....nevermind.
So right now, it seems like the Asian cowboy and the racial stereotype team are the next candidates for controversial wrestlecrap. But as we all know, we shouldn't immediately assume they'll both suck. So which one, if either, do you think may ultimately be a successful gimmick?

John Wayne Yang, I guess.
You guys have probably made heaps of 'Brokeback Mountain' references already, haven't you?

John Wayne Yang? Good god. So will his first feud involve Tatanka or will they tag up, "Cowboys and Indians" style?

They'll both be over...with the WC Boards
Cryme Tyme will be like Grand Theft Auto cool. And Jimmy Yang will probably bomb but everyone on here will love him and want him in a sombrero.

They'll both get over. Cryme Tyme looks like a pretty good tag team. Can't wait to see them in the ring. As for Jimmy Wang Yang, this is the most original take on the generic cowboy gimmick. They both could get over real well.

They'll both be over, cuz the are both f***ing hilarious! Yang can wrestle and will get CW title reign out of it before being depushed. Cryme Tyme will be great as well! I know I'm popping my 40's and checking my rollies (whatever that means) while waiting for them to debut

They'll both be over. The Asian redneck is too absurd not to like and Cryme Tyme's first skit was great

I had my TV turned down when the Cryme Tyme thing was on, so I have a question. Is this team suppose to be taken seriously? I'm gonna give them a chance, because they look entertaining, but I just can't tell. It seemed funny, that they didn't seem to grab much cash and they wanted to try it again, but I'm not sure if this is just WWE creative being WWE creative.

The idea in the Cryme Tyme skit was that they were working on their speed, so they were robbing the smoothie shop as quickly as possible. One of them gets distracted giving a shout-out to his boy on the security camera which gets disabled at the end as they run out.
They then go off to rob the pizzeria to get a better time.

I'd also like to add that it was quite funny. Concurred; I was just summarized the plot for those who happened to miss it. Pretty sure it's post on the E's site now.
