"Star" = a member of a main roster and not just a TV squash jobber. Any fed, any era. Somebody that NOBODY cared about, nor were they ever going to.
Just wondering who you'd pick.
The guy springing to mind for me is Sniper of the Truth Commission (the one who didn't go on to become Bull Buchanan).
(I'm posting the thread in this section because of the strong chance a lot of the names will be Crap inductees.)

Alex Wright/ Berlyn in WCW was pushed really hard over a number of big names at times, and the crowd were always *dead*!

You can't have a thread like this without Mike Knox, they were pushing him pretty hard in 06 and the fans couldn't give a crap.

It's a personal tie between Chris Master and Carlito.

It's hard to vote against Snitsky, but I agree with Alex Wright. Did anyone ever like this guy.

I thought they were on the right track when they teamed him with "Disqo"(Disco Inferno) and Tokyo Magnum. The Godwinns, obviously, is your correct answer. Someday, it will be explained why Vince continuously threw them on Raw's first quarter hour opposite Nitro's latest nWo interview/angle of the week. Nitro's drawing constant 4s while Raw was lucky to get a 2. I thought they had something when they turned them heel as "Southern Justice", but they matched them up with the human heat vacuum "Double J" Jeff Jarrett (where heat goes to die). Then the artist formerly known as Henry Godwinn had stomach issues and they were never to be heard from since... Until they came up with Mideon. I win.

Test was being pushed pretty hard shortly after his debut & then again as a member of "The Alliance" in 2001, much to everyone's puzzlement.
And, even though he was over as an upper-mid-card face, Rikishi's heel turn & main event push caused the audience to sit on their hands.

Nice to see some of us are actually thinking "outside the box" and going back more than a couple of years. I liked Test (I thought he has promise if he applied himself), but never really got the appeal of a fat dancing Samoan in too short trunks. (I was never a fan of Too Cool either, so maybe I'm biased against him.)

Dan Severn
Bobcore Holly
Dustin Rhodes in any non Goldust gimmick
Erik Watts
Scott Norton
Maybe Buff Bagwell, but he mostly got negative heat, rather than no reaction

He was somewhat over, the fans were responding to Alex, he may not have been a favorite with smarks, but he was over at the time. And he made a good heel too, beat Jericho and had Jericho beat him as well.

Very, very good answer. They pushed him and pushed him as this dangerous monster. But his matches were anti-flashy and sometimes just bad, he had no connection with the crowd, the writers kept flip-flopping on whether he was supposed to be a heel or a face, he only spoke about once every six weeks, and when he did talk, he had this squeaky voice that didn't match his look. I was surprised when the Rock beat him in the KOTR tournament that one year, but I can't say I was unhappy. I don't think 100 people actually wanted to see Shamrock vs. Severn.

Savio Vega or Flash Funk. I had a friend who made a video tape of his action figures fighting, and the first match was those two on the grounds that "they both suck." Fair enough, but the very fact Action figures were made says "Push." Savio was pretty much the lifeless version of the Latin Heel. and part of the lifeless "Gang Warz" angle. Flash Funk was the WWF's gimmick for Too Cold Scropio, except he was a quasi pimp. Or the Flash, it was never really too clear. No one seemed to care.
