My tiny tim story (reposted from my blog)
If you noticed, I've been on a bit of a Tiny Tim kick lately. I didn't know why until a memory from long ago popped into my head. I was either 9 or 10 at the time, and the kids at school were given free tickets to the circus!! Growing up in a lower middle class family, I had never really been to a circus before, so the thoughts of popcorn, acrobats, and clowns was too good to pass up for this kid. There was a special attraction at the circus as well, although I chose to ignore it because I didn't know what it was.
So we show up at the circus (the Allan Hills Great American Circus) and it sucks giant balls. No acrobats, some poor old animals, and the sorriest bunch of clowns ever. So sitting there bored to shit, I was waiting for it to end. Then I heard the ringmaster announce him....the special attraction. The people rose to their feet, so I did the same to see what was going on (I was short). Out walked this badly dressed man with long curly hair, a giant nose, and a tiny ukele.
It was Tiny Tim.
He sang TipToe through the Tulips. That was it. 2 minutes. But after those two minutes were up, the crowd rushed towards him like the world biggest slamdance.
I just stood there in amazement.

Tiny Tim was amazing. I used to play his records at my old house to get rid of unwanted guests. But the thing was, I really enjoyed listening to the records myself, so they served two purposes wonderfully. For that I am forever grateful to that man.

The guy left a lasting influence all right. Just watch the first episode of Spongebob to see that much.
I'd mark to see a wrestling music video set to "Having a Wonderful Time".

That song playing while we get clips of Cornette losing his temper would be great.

I think Tiny Tim's music is the only thing that could truly calm Cornette down.
