I wanna know why everyone thinks Renegade was a Warrior ripoff. I've only seen one match from the guy, on an NWA Compilation tape from 1984. He didn't seem much like Warrior at all to me. Of course, The Ultimate Warrior hadn't debuted yet then...
This is a really cool tape too. It's got the youngest Barry Windham I've ever seen teaming with Rotundo against soem team I've never heard of, it's got Ric Flair as NWA Champion against a guy called Deutch Hess. It's got Greg Valentine as US Champ. All that and a bunkhouse match with Rick Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, and Dick Slater vs. Black Bart, Ron Bass, and Tully Blanchard. Magnum TA and JJ Dillon are at ringside. Great tape.

I think you saw a different Renegade.
The one inducted into WC was Rick Williams who 1995 debuted in WCW as Hulk Hogan's Ultimate surprise a Warrior ripoff. He was also a Stand In for the real Warrior during UW's stint in WCW. Sadly Williams could not shake off the gimmick and in 1999 he took his own life. He was 33 years old.

You did see another Renegade. The WC came about because WCW wanted to bring Jim Hellwig in to team with and then return the the job to Hogan. They went as far as Hogan saying that he had an ultimate suprise for the Dungeon of Doom. It turned out to be Renegade who was hated by the fans from the start

I was like 11 at the time, and still didn't have the internet, but I honestly thought that Renegade was the Warrior's brother, and the real one would have came shortly after to feud with him
