So yeah, what other names did the 1-2-3 Kid go by before settling on the 1-2-3 Kid moniker? I remember him on RAW as the Cannonball Kid, and then on Superstars as the Kamikaze Kid... did he wrestle on TV under any other monikers?
And was his gimmick to keep changing his name on every show he was on until he beat Razor? I don't know how, but I've forgotten the background on him.

Probably The Lightning Kid, as he used that name in Global.

I believe the night he beat Razor, he was billed as the Kid. After beating Razor, he became the 1-2-3 Kid.
I remember them making mention of all his weekly name changes during his match with Razor.

1-2-3 kid had to be one of the lamest names of all time! Agreed As I recall, Heenan actually came up with the name.

I mean Lightning Kid sounds decent and made sense. 123 Kid sounds like a jobber lucky to get a win!

I will never forget that day. I figured it was just going to be a typical jobber squash, and I got up to get a drink thinking that I wouldnt miss anything special. Lo and behold, while i was gone, the arena is going nuts, and when they show the replay, The Kid moonsaulted off the top rope, and got the pin over Ramon who was hovering around the main event at that time. It was a total shocker, and I was pissed that I missed seeing it as it happened. The WWE should do stuff like this more

1-2-3 kid had to be one of the lamest names of all time! And yet almost 15 years later, we remember the name and who he is and a lot about his career. So clearly it worked.

He was the uber-underdog... at least we can give him that, especially when he had his blue body suit... heh.
As an aside, what was with the karate headband he wore at SummerSlam that year?

How did the Kid exit from WWF at the time? I know he went to WCW, but did he just disappear from the 'F ?

I think he got more money and would rather be with more friends like Hall and Nash, thats what I guess.
Although that was a bad decision in my opinion although he wasn't doing much than I feel that he could have been a really good uber heel WWE Champion and was intreasting and different from most wrestler in WWE back than.
Just because he had a bad attitude he screwed it up. I still say Waltman had the biggest untapped potential of any wrestler from the early to mid ninties. I guess sort of in the way Shelton Benjamin is now, however Waltman was better.

Waltman MIGHT have been better than Benjamin, but once the injuries started to add up, he was no longer useful. What got him to the dance was the highspots, and he couldn't perform like that anymore... hence his downfall.
At least, that's how I see it. Honestly, he turned into a brawler towards the end of his usefulness, and can you seriously buy him as a legit toughman when everyone else in wrestling is twice his size?

Thats why he would have been a great uber heel talk like he was the toughest guy in the company and be a big pussy sort of like Christian as a heel with Tomko. Also for it to work he would need a huge body guard to back him up. If they did that Waltman would have been top heel easily.

I was a pretty big fan of X-Pac when he first joined DX, he busted his ass in every match, but eventually, you could tell apathy set in, and he didn't care much anymore, and his injuries piled up.
