One of the main events was advertised as Warriah and Savage v. Flair and razor, but it ended up with Mr.Perfect filling in for Mr.destructivity (in the process performing the greatest face turn of all time). So what the luv happend? did warriah try to hold up vince for more cash again? Plus i read the match ended with a DQ, what happend there?

Warrior walked out of the WWE I believe over money so they did a quick angle where they turned Perfect face. As far as the match goes, it was good as during one point they teased whether or not Perfect was gonna walk out on Savage. The DQ happened because Razor and Flair kept double teaming illegally and I think Flair threw Hebner down so Hebner stopped the match.

I have the tape and it was a lackluster event at best. This was when WWF was going into it's crap phase which it didn't get out of until after WM13.

On the Warrior DVD they make mention that they had a strict drug policy at the time and that was the reason behind Warrior leaving again in 92. Pretty much the same reason Davey Boy Smith was let go around the same time.

The main event at Survivor Series '92 was not that bad. Lots of good drama. It probably would have been more "popular" w/ Warrior in there, but the Perfect face turn was awesome and everybody knows it.
It was the REST of the card at SS '92 that was so questionable...

I always thought the reason he left was because he was scheduled to enter a program with Nailz and not be in the main event picture and simply took his ball and went home.

Nailz was supposed to be in a program with The Undertaker after the Survivor Series. it even made the cover of WWF Magazine, I have it somewhere.

I have that very magazine too. You should always believe what you read in the pages of the WWF magazine. I have every WWF magazine from '92 until like, last year. And, Bret Vs. Shawn was the main event, it closed the show. Flair was a curtain jerker for Bret.

Dang.... Slaughter was already "out of wrestling" by this time?? He went from mega heel champion to face-jobber to behind the desk SO FAST.

Listening to Vince commentating on the match at one point he's saying "Mr. Perfect is leaving" and then when Perfect comes back he's arguing with Heenan that "He never had second thoughts about walking out". Now I know Vince thinks that if he leaves an angle alone long enough we wont remember but this is a short time span even for him

Pretty much the same reason Davey Boy Smith was let go around the same time. Warrior has mentioned that he and Davey Boy Smith were both let go because the Government was watching Vince like a Hawk (which led to the steroid trials) and thus he used Davey Boy and himself as scapegoats. That is why in 1996 when he was brought in Warrior had them sign him to a "special" contract to make up for it. I dont know why but I believe Warrior more then I do vince.

Warrior is on the very, very short list of people I would trust less than Vince. The Perfect face turn didn't really make sense to me as a mark. Basically Macho Man just asked if he would be his partner and Perfect said yes. I mean by that logic all it would take to turn heels would be for faces to ask for their help.

yeah but it still didn't really make since. Hennen had been his manager for years and Perfect never got upset when he spoke for him before. Outside of kayfabe I know that WWF had a short amount of time to turn Perfect face and they went the easiest route. Still having a guy who had a total arrogent jerk heel and turn him face all the sudden. Seemed pretty weak to me.

That was one of my least favorite Survivor Series of all time. . They had 4 kick-ass elimination matches the year before and in 1992 we only got one. Elimination Matches have always been my favorite part of the Survivor Series.
