Saw that you mentioned Bob Lamey in the Gooker induction. He and Ted Marchibroda are the best; I'd like to hear them call a wrestling match. Anyway, I had stopped following wrestling until someone turned me on to this site. You guys are great and the people who post here are funnier than he**. Go Colts!!(This HAS to be the year!!)

I hope the Colts make it all the way. I think a lot of it depends on who wins the Denver-NE game. I think they can make it past the Steelers, but I HATE seeing the Pats in the playoffs...

yeah. Denver doesn't worry me but NE does. I don't know what to expect against Pittsburgh(hopefully a blowout). Dungy and these players deserve a Super Bowl. Thanks.

God, no more New England/Boston winning anything. They were whiners when they lost all the time and now they are more arrogant and annoying than the Yankees...

Semper Fi, Erik Majorwitz You got your wish this year; Pats lose to Denver 27-13. ;D Not that Denver will be the pushover they've been the last couple of seasons, but I'd call going to the "big game at the end" ($2 to the XFL) a lock for Indy at this point.

The Pats had too many turnovers tonight and that got the best of them. I didn't think Denver looked that great on Offence, but it was the defence that helped them win.
The Colts will and shouldn't have any problem with the Steelers later on today.
Peace

As a Pats fan, even I knew they weren't gonna do it again. They are in the midst of a great run (making the playoffs this year after the injuries is something) They will be back next year, they have too good a program not to. Im really not even that upset, We in New England have been spoiled.
I am by no means a Colts fan but with Dungy's tragedy with his son, and the great start they had, I have to say Im pulling for them this one time. If Manning is ever gonna win the ring, its this year.

Like I said...I was rooting for Indy. But this proves once and for all one thing, Indy are the new Red Sox. They choked today. How many chances did the get down the stretch? The 13-0 start means crap. All the numbers they put up this year mean crap. I really thought this was their best shot. As awesome as Manning is, he is this eras Dan Marino.

As a bitter sore loser and Pats fan, I rooted against the Colts today. The thing is, I don't mind Peyton Manning at all. I actually kinda like the guy. What I don't like about the Colts is how they get crowned SB champs every year before the playoffs even start, and yet no one seems to learn. Even the members of the Boston media are convinced the Colts are the better team. And while it's hard to argue the regular season records (and on-paper talent), they just never seem to change their ship. Slickness is right. The Colts are the new Sox. The difference, though, is that the media will keep treating them like the Yankees. So, in other words, I don't mind the Colts at all, but I hate the media's image of them, so I root against them to spite the media. Does that make any sense? How is it any different than with the Pats? Well, outside of Brady, the national media isn't too crazy about the Pats, at least compared to other dynasties of the past. Part of it is because they never say anything controversial (if anything at all), and their coach pisses off a lot of reporters with his demeanor. I'm not going to pretend the Pats didn't get any respect this year (everyone in the country outside of Colorado thought they'd win this week), but it's not nearly on the ass-kissing scale of the Colts. Of course, I'm going to root against the Steelers next week, because I just plain don't like them . Actually, I'm rooting for the NFC, no matter who it is, but that's just me.

Samsonov makes a few points. I will take it one step farther. The national football media has a strange fixation with Manning. Now of course, Manning is awesome..dont get me wrong there, but he isnt jesus. I notice that even in games where he isnt playing, they mention him. Comparing every QB to him. If the QB does anything great its "Manning-like". It gets a little old. Sometimes I think people forget that Indy has 24 other guys on the team. When John Madden calls any Colts game, I sometimes think he wants to go down on the guy (Hes like that with Farve too) After a while, you get sick of hearing it. I will admit I have a borderline obsessive hatred for the guy now, and that is in large part because he gets shoved down peoples throats EDIT: As for the Superbowl, its a toss up between Seattle (Dont think they've ever won it) or Pittsburgh (I kinda wanna see Bettis get a ring)

Well, that was awful. Once again, Colts fans, do NOT blame the defense. As always in the playoffs, they did what they were supposed to do - keep the game close so the offense could do their thing. And as always happens in the playoffs, it just didn't happen.
BTW, had Pittsburgh lost that game, every single official should have been fired. That was the worst officiated game I have EVER seen. Both teams had blown calls, but the Steelers really got ripped off on that interception.
Congrats, Pittsburgh.
