I ask because I remember him as local indy wrestler Trevor Rhodes. He was always plugged as a second generation wrestler. I never was sure if that was true or not.

Now that would definitely draw, especially if Big Dust gave Murdoch his old polka dot tights, sort of like Apollo giving Rocky Balboa his USA tights. Semper Fi, Erik Majorwitz

Perhaps he is a strange love child of Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch. The offspring of the Texas Outlaws...*shudder*

i remember seeing trevor rhodes at a local show ran by harley race here in my backwards neck of the woods....i remember whoever he was fighting specifically said something about his "daddy, Dusty Rhodes"...something about not being able to live up to the name....i thought maybe he was just the less talented rhodes' son....but i haven't watched wwe in forever so i dont even really know who Trevor Murdoch is.
Just ignore me.

Yes it's his son, didn't you see him on Halloween in his old Gold Dust costume?

Dusty was a tag team champion with Murdoch near the beginning of his career using basically the same gimmick as this current team. Maybe this is a tribute that ONLY old school fans would understand?

Whenever I see Murdoch, I always think he's Larry the Cable Guy's long-lost twin brother.

I think Murdoch was born in the murky swamps of Dusty's backyard. Simple as that.
