I saw Raw this week and with all the hype for ECW One Night Stand....I was thinking that could be the basis off your new book with Bryan Alvarez. Disecting the impact on pro wrestling that ECW had by going through the whole life of the company. chronicling its highs and lows and for your epilouge....you could have some thoughts on the two ECW reunion shows, Hardcore Homecoming and One Night Stand. What do you think?

Good point, its like a silver lining, but yea, I had trouble watching the Death of ECW DVD because It was like, even though the story was so incredible, the ending was so sad I didn't want to think about it.

RD It can't be nearly as depressing as the covering of the dieing days of WCW. NOW THAT made me depressed. You could pull it off, and if you feel bad for Paul E., tell the story of it from a point of view that's sympathetic towards him. Just like, in my opinion, your "Death of WCW" book made a great companion to the WWE's "Monday Night Wars" DVD, a book about ECW would make an awesome companion to the WWE's "Rise and Fall of ECW" DVD.

You know, at the end of Rise and Fall, I really wasn't that depressed, because Paul E. wasn't that depressed: "Hey, I got my ass kicked, but I'm going to be back again tomorrow, somewhat smarter, and somewhat tougher."
They were almost teasing a revival of ECW right there.
How about Paul E. on RAW on monday to Vince? "You may own it, but I CONTROL it."

I was marking out, I admit. But my favorite all time Raw moment was Paul E's ECW Invasion promo. Damn you Steph.

WCW was the dream of Ted Turner a multi-billionare, ECW was the dream of Paul Heyman a Multi-Hundredaire. I think I feel worse for Paul E. Well, the last few chapters of Death of WCW were depressing for a totally different reason. It's not like a felt bad for Ted, but I did feel bad for some of the workers... and just the complete idiocy going on there was depressing in general.

The thing I liked so much about ECW was the fact that despite having virtualy no bling to pay the wrestlers off, it still became world famous and caught on so much fire that Bischoff and Vinniel had to put out with money. Sometimes I wonder if Paul E. was a great buisness man, yet still the greatest mind in wrestling (This is debatable though, some might say that Russo is the greatest mind in wrestling. I would like to shoot the people who say that.), would ECW still be giving WCW and WWF/E a run for their money? If WCW did close, they could have made tons money of AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and the like. God I miss ECW. Lets gather around a campfire and a TV and watch Barely Legal, watching and having a goodtime, crying due to Terry Funk's win, booing RVD. I could bring all the BWO shirts! Now THAT would be fun.

well...technically like the WWE said, he dream still has a pulse when the fans keep chanting ECW everywhere they go. Which is complete bullshit on the writers' part. The marks chant ECW when somebody goes THROUGH A TABLE. I'd wager that more than 40% haven't seen a single ECW show.

Which is complete bulllots of manure on the writers' part. The marks chant ECW when somebody goes THROUGH A TABLE. I'd wager that more than 40% haven't seen a single ECW show. That's not entirely true. At the house show I saw Friday, there were ECW chants for Tajiri's entrance than there was for the entirity of Benoit and Snitsky's "ECW rules" match. And it was 75% of the crowd chanting it.

From the funeral segment on Monday night... It looks like vince wants to rewrite history again.
If Vince wants to revive ECW, then I am all for it but he has to let Paul heyman take control of it. If he doesn't, it will become Invasion 2001 all over again.
