the ending to wrestlemania 4 i always thought was one of the worst anti climaxes ever. after all macho goes through, hogan just gets in the ring and hits dibiase with a chair. soured the whole macho victory. was that hogans ego again, to show that macho might be champ, buit it meant nothing without him?terrible ending.

Hogan basically handed Macho Man the tournament and helped him in the title match, so I would say yes, Macho looked weak as Champion due to Hogan.
But I love Hulk Hogan, so who cares! I don't love him as much as Mr. America though.

This was the storyline version. According to DiBiase, Honky Tonk Man was really the one responsible for coming up with that whole ending.

EVERY and I do mean EVERY PPV from Wrestlemania I to King of the Ring 93 was headlined by Hogan (or at least he would be in the 2nd mainevent)
and there are so many times his ego was at work
Straight from my head:
Wrestlemania 9 (Hogan was supposed to win the tag tiles but he ended up winning the world title)
Survivor Series 91 (Hogan was supposed to lose to the Taker straight but they let Ric Flair come in with a chair to "set up a big feud" that never happened, besides hulk won back the title 2 days)
King of the Ring 93 (Hogan was supposed to put Yokozuna over as a main heel but then he comes up with this stupid "camera flash light explodes in his face"-stuff)
I guess it won't be any different with Wrestlemania 4

One of my favourite bits from Wrestlemania IV is the end where Macho Man is celebrating in the ring with Hulk Hogan and they've obviously been told to stay out there for about 5 minutes. Running out of things to do they basically point at each other and shake each others hand about twenty times. Cracks me up every time I see it.

Certainly not headlined by Hogan. Royal Rumble 92 - Hogan does not wrestle a singles match. And the Royal Rumble is not even close to being built around Hogan. He's there, but everyone knows this is Flair's night. Summerslam 92 Main Events = Savage Vs. Warrior and Hart Vs. Bulldog. No Hogan in Sight Survivor Series 92 Main Events = Savage and Perfect Vs. Flair and Ramon and Hart Vs. Michaels. No Hogan in sight I know, it's only four PPV's so it's not much. Just stating the facts.

Hogan was gone for a year in the time frame mentioned. Of course he wasn't at the shows. But when he came back he turned a tag title match into him winning the World title. And at Rumble 92, Hogan made Flair run to the back without celebrating and Hulk was the last wrestler in the ring that night. At WM 8 he wasn;t even in the title match yet he was on last. At SS 90, he wasn't champ but was also in a co-main event match against Earthquake

Also Royal Rumble 88, even though that was technically not a ppv.

Yeah, I just did it straight from my head, so now I checked it:
Hogan headlining every WWF PPV from Wrestlemania I (85) to RR 88 - Check
No Hogan in RR 88 - Check
1 Year of Hogan-headlined PPVs - Check
Hogan not headlining RR 89 - Check
3 Years of Hogan-headlined PPVs - Check
Hogan not headlining RR 92 - Check
Then Hogan leaves the company for a year or so to concentrate on his "Hollywood-Career" only to come back and steal the next WM Main Event, a spontanious title match without a ring bell ever been rung (as far as I remember)
King Of the Ring was also not headlined by Hogan, but he was in the title match, even the Smoking Gunns were higher on the card then him, but probably he wanted it that way 'cause he was going to lose the title.
I don't know what happened later on in WCW, never watched a lot of it, but again I guess it won't be much different, accept for him being a heel.
Sorry, I just hate this guy, always hated him, made me turn off the tv as soon as he showed up, therefor it was even better when he mainevented 'cause at KOTR 93 I had to sit through this bullsh*** of a match, HATE HIM,hatehim,hatehim......

Rumble 92's ending was dominated by the Hogan-Sid stuff..bearing in mind Hogan was trying to pull Sid out from the outside and Flair tipped Sid over, then there was the big stare down as for Summer slam and Survivor series 92..those were during hogans "retirement" after Wrestlemania 8
