I bought Backstage assult for the N64 for $5. I wanted to see how bad the gimick was. Its just a bad game never mind the no ring thing. I'll try to get my money back or at least store credit.

Spending $5 on that horrible game does not make you legally insane. Now if you spent $5 on it, then said, "I liked it so much I bought 12 more copies", then yes, you would be.

As bad as Backstage Assault is, you can't even compare it to the horribleness of Superman 64.

It makes the Black Scorpion angle look like the nWo angle...

How's that for being mentally unwell. Then again, it was better than WCW Thunder.

Superman 64 is bad, but you've never experienced pain until you've played WHITE MEN CAN'T JUMP on the Jaguar. I love my Jag (pretty much all the 2000 series games rocked, especially Breakout, which I was a tester for), but damn was that game awful.

How in the blue hell on earth could someone make a game out of White Men Can't Jump? Was it a hustling sim or something?

No, it was the world's WORST BASKETBALL GAME (although, as I recall, it did involve hustling as well). It had a primitive 3D engine that ran at about 10 frames per second; imagine the NES trying to do a 3D basketball game, and you've pretty much got the idea. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! RD

Hey I bought WWF: In your House for Playstation and LIKED IT!! How's that for being mentally unwell. Then again, it was better than WCW Thunder. Thunder isn't that bad. Granted I got my copy for free. A friend let me borrow it and was just like "Eh, I got PS2 now, I don't need that game" Now if you want boarderline crap, WCW:Mania, got that for $1.99. First game I played I picked Disco (it was either that or Norman Smiley) the computer played as Hogan (who for some reason was put on the Wolfpac). Actually realistic because Disco beat the tar out of Hogan, hit him with a couple chairs, lead pipe and a tazer, and the Orange Goblin would still not take the fall (how I beat him using DDP is beyond me). Also another sign that this game is crapworthy, Craig Pittman is introduced as being part of the "WCW Elete" (and that match lasted a whole two minutes. would have been shorter, but I don't know the controls well).

My mum actually got me some package of White Men Can't Jump with a Multitap. Ironically enough, had I had friends to be play the games with, I certainly wouldn't have had any after they'd played that.
Aliens Vs Predator was a gem though. In an annoying way.
Though, the ultimate Jaguar game (actually the greatest game of all time) was undoubtedly Kasumi Ninja, a beat 'em up wherein a Scottish guy is blazingingly red headed, says 'Och Aye' all the time, tosses the cabre as one of his special projectile moves... and best of all, lifts his kilt up and shoots a fireball from the apparent of Loch Of Fire underneath.
Oh, and he's called Angus.

I have kasumi Ninja for my jag... worst fighter I ever played... least it came with a free handband.
I also have Ultra Vortek, which is probably the best fighter for thats system.
Ultra Vortek was more like a Mortal Kombat wanna be, unfortunely Kasumi Ninja was a Mortal Kombat wanna be wanna be.

I actually love my Jag (even have the CD attachment). My games of choice are Tempest 2000, Breakout 2000, Defender 2000 (noticing a trend?), Iron Soldier, and Doom. Tempest 2000 may well be my favorite game ever on any system (and I've pretty much owned them all). It's absolutely brilliant. I remember playing that for about four hours every day for almost a year straight. I still pull it out now and again.

WCW Nitro was the first game I bought for my PS1 back in 98, and I picked up Thunder as well. Both at full price. Horrible gameplay and graphics, but the promos made it worth the price.
Nash has the funniest promos on both games in my opinion.
"Hey there. How'd ya like to get powerbombed? Come on, pick me. (starting to laugh) I'm beggin' you, pick me. (laughing even more) Please pick me. I'm begging you."

I actually liked WCW Thunder, but that was before I knew any better. What was the WCW game that came out about a year or ywo before it went under. It wasn't Backstage Assault.

WCW Mayhem. It was kind of a cross between WWF Smackdown and WCW/nWo Revenge. They basically used the same guts of the game to create BA.
Also, something that's always bugged me about the N64 wrestling games. I hate hearing people talk about the current generation of wrestling games and say "Yeah it's good, but it's no No Mercy". No Mercy and WM 2000 were simply WCW/nWo Revenge wearing WWF badges. The same goes for the ECW Hardcore Revolution. Just WWF Attitude in ECW clothing.

Well to be fair No Mercy and W2000 did add more grapples such as the leaning over and on all fours, Create a Charecter, storylines, more match types, and a more things to do even in a normal match. Its just Revenge but really they did a lot more to make it better.
