For some unknown reason, the Shawn Michaels "Tell Me a Lie" weepy video popped in my head today, but I've a question. Was this heartrending masterpiece created in 1995 for his post-Owen Kicks His Head Off "injury" or 1997 for his Lost My Smile "injury"?

It was in 1995. It was leading up to Royal Rumble 1996.

It was the Owen incident. Truly one of the worst songs the WWE has ever used.

Being the mark I was at the time (and that HBK was my absolute favorite wrestler on the roster at the time) I was bummed he was going away.
If only I knew back then what a dickhead he was.

It was the Owen incident. Truly one of the worst songs the WWE has ever used. Could it be worse than the theme for No Holds Barred?? That song is on the Anthology cd by the way.

Owen kicking Michaels' head off was one of the greatest things a Hart ever did. And there are alot of them.

And it was nominated for best video of the year at the 96 slammy's. With hunter siding with owen against shawn (for the storyline. you can see hunter and diesel sitting at the same table hanging out together and the camera cutting away quickly otherwise)

It was the Owen incident. Truly one of the worst songs the WWE has ever used. and they decided to use that atrocity for a dead wrestlers tribute on RAW X
