so how big was he anyway? i know for sure he wasnt the 8 foot tall 700 lb man that hogan keeps talking about lol. good grief does hogan actually believe that lol.

when he died his body was measured at 6`11 i think but he said he lost height due to operations (dunno how that would happen)

During his glory days, he stood slightly above Ernie Ladd, who was a legit 6'11. There are some shots of Andre with Kareem Abdul Jabar and only Andre's fro makes him the taller of the two.
By the time Andre's disease really began to take it's toll, he was so hunched that he barely stood a few inches above Hogan at WM3.
So, he may have at one point been a legit 7'0, but by the time he died, his height (perhaps due to spinal curvature) was 6'11.

He was around 6'11'' when he died. Obesessedwithwrestling.com has some good info on him. Off-topic, but just look at the pictures of him they have. Compare his younger days to Big Show's and they look very much alike physically. Sadly, as you go through the pictures more, you can see that their bodies both get pretty bad as they get older.
