this still makes me laugh, lex knocks yoko out of the ring and gets a countout win, and then everybody starts celebrating like its V-E day, lol. all the baloons and confetti, and they hoist him on their shoulders, and stars and stripes forever is playing, and he won by a freaking countout, lol! and after all the build up, and all the people interviewed saying that he would win, and macho man's empassioned speech on superstars about all that lex would "enter the ring with", and the bus, the BUS! after all that THIS was the big pay off, lol! great moment in wrestlecrap:D, lol.

LOL, this made me so mad! I was only like 7 or 8 years old at the time and i remember when they rang the bell for the countout i kicked the couch in anger, then i saw the celebration starting and i was thinking, what the hell is going on, he didnt when the title!
Everyone is happy but then, you have me there as a little kid who actually remembered the rules of title matches and was pissed off cause i was a huge Luger mark at that point. You would think by that celebration that he not only won the title, but also single handedly cured every disease known to man, signed a world peace treaty and won the lottery all at the same time.

I remember being very disappointed about Luger not winning the title from Yoko. If they were going to have a celebration like that then they should have put the WWF Title on him.

I hated Lex Luger, even in 1993. I think it was that whole no charisma/enormous ego/pro-USA combo that annoyed me.

I just remember watching it and thinking.....what the heck is going on? Maybe a count out win is a big deal? It all seemed a bit empty without the title. Then after the match, Ludvig Borga showed up in the dressing room and pooped in the proverbial punch bowl with a rant about polution.

Hey RD i was wondering what your thoughts were on John Cena making all of his title belts spin and crap. Personally i think it is a horrible idea and should keep to the old belts.

Hogan did the same jumping around like a dork routine when he beat Quake by countout at Summerslam '90. "Oh, boy! I knew I could! Yippee, brother!"

Dear....sweet.....Lord.
I'll tell you what's worse: Vince during the match putting Luger over like the heartthrob of some '50s sitcom.
"He was a straight-A student in college!"
I doubt Luger could spell "he" much less "college". Hell, I wonder if he could tell anyone which letter is "A".

I think this was vince's version of hiding the negative and showing the positives. Unfortunely, as much as WWf/E does things it goes the other way around.
