I say the NES controller, nice and simple ;D The square edges on those things always ended up leaving marks in my hands. So screw that. I say the 360 is the best fit for me. I find my left thumb gets extremely sore after long periods of time from using the boxy nes controller. I'd love to find the dogbone NES controllers.

Ah yes I forgot about the squared edges, they do leave marks. Also I'll defintely add to the votes for the Genesis and Playstation's controllers.

YES! YES! A million times YES! Thirded, I guess. Also; I love Sega. ( : The Dreamcast was arguably one of the big mistakes Sega made with that console. Outside of the cool idea of the VMU, the rest of the controller itself was just AWFUL. I've used tons of controllers and outside of some minor thumb issues I've had one issue with constant playing leading to pain. The Dreamcasts trigger buttons. Playing hours of Crazy Taxi 2 lead to serious (luckily temporarily) pain in the final knuckle of my right trigger finger. Now granted, I'm left handed so my right hand isn't quite as built up as my left and I don't quite have adult-sized hands (they are bigger than kids and I do have piano fingers) but none of that has ever been a serious issue before. Bottom line, the whole thing was just clunky and awkward to hold, imo with some awful place trigger buttons. I will admit, however, that all the buttons, triggers, pad and stick had great quality. But it was still the equivalent of placing a finely tuned Swiss watch inside a brick and fastening it on your wrist.

Because I have quite big hands myself and I am more partial to controllers that have grips, I'd have to respectfully disagree.

The SNES controller is good, but I always liked the Playstation's better. It just fits my hand more comfortably. The buttons are in the right spots and the analog stick isn't placed in an awkward spot like some are.
Anyways, the PSX wins hands down for me.
