Sorry to channel Big Dave there, but honestly, that bit with the glass eye plant was just nasty. The segment already sucked, but the last thing I want to see as someone who can't look at eye gore in movies is some guy pulling out his fake eye. I sure as hell don't sit down every Monday expecting to see that shit. Did this bother anyone else, or was it just me?

Nothing Jon Lovitz does can ever be considered bad so by default it was good.

I don't care if it was fake or not, that was absolutely ghastly to watch and I was freaking out.

- The fan who removed his eye on last night's RAW in the segment with Jon Lovitz was WWE creative team member Joe Francosci. Dave Meltzer says that Joe did the same trick for Michael Hayes when he was interviewed for his job with WWE. (source:lordsofpain.net)

I'm not squeamish about many things but I can't handle eye stuff at all. I just looked away until I heard Legacy's theme song.
That entire scene though man... I laughed like hell. Not necessarily because it was funny, but because it was so insane and idiotic. Wtf was that?

The artery death grip working on Virgil baffled the hell out of me.

I said it on the RAW thread and I'll say it again here: this is what happens when a main eventer is unavailable for the show. It doesn't mean anyone new is going to get a push, it means the writers have an excuse to drag out one of the guest host pseudo-SNL skits to fill a significantly larger amount of airtime, the way they'd been doing regularly when the guest host thing first started.
Because, let's face it, I think they're more comfortable writing this sort of thing than they are with putting together a wrestling show.

The artery death grip working on Virgil baffled the hell out of me. I thought that saved the segment. It was hilarious when Virgil went down like a ton of bricks.

WWE has gone out of their way to hire Hollywood-style writers for years now, and it's well known that they consider any wrestling background or fandom a detriment, not a positive. Most of these people don't have a clue what wrestling is all about...all they know is the Rock and Hogan, both of whom have little to do with wrestling and much to do about talking.

"I want to buy your eye" was just weird. Though the neck pinch working on Virgil was hilarious.
I would have rather seen an Evan Bourne match though.

I wanna know who got over from this segment, who did it benefit? The Bellas, Jillian, Khali and Santino, because it's dumb crap like this that is the sole reason they remain employed

(source:lordsofpain.net) If that's what it takes to get a job at WWE, I'm suddenly glad I never got an interview there.

It didn't bother me. It was stupid, but it seemed harmless enough. Of course, I've seen a man take out his glass eye a bunch of times, so it just isn't a big deal to me.
