I was gonna offer HBK's counter on Shelton's flying clothesline, but for sheer WTFery Mickie wins.

The RKO counter to the Undertaker's chokeslam was one of the most fluid transitions from one move to the other I've ever seen.

Too contrived. Sure, it looks flashy, but I'd rather watch a plausible counter - the Bourne and Carlito counters are good examples.

Claudio (the big guy) shifts his weight to counter the hurricanrana. The entire sequence that leads up to this is just insane, the ending is a cherry on top.

Any time someone just walks away from an oncoming aerial move. Simple, effective and badass.

The entire sequence that leads up to this is just insane, the ending is a cherry on top. It's basically a flip powerbomb. It's not totally implausible I'll grant you (he's using Quackenbush's momentum to do the flip), but to me a truly great-looking counter shouldn't look quite so phoney.

Michelle McCool turning Gail Kim's jacknife pin attempt into the the Faith Breaker.
I think this was from the RAW before 'Mania.

The camerawork just really messes that up, to me. I can never appreciate it for how awesome it is just because of the camera switching.

I remember one where The Briscoes went for a doomsday device on Marufuji & he caught Mark in mid air & hit a Shiranui Kai off Jay's shoulders to win the match.

One of the best I've seen was Ken Shamrock's counter to the Undertaker's chokeslam from Backlash 1999. Anyone remember this?
