Seriously this would have been an awesome heel stable if it hadn't been for NWO.
The original incarnations of Dungeon were awful but by this point it was pretty sweet.
They had Meng, Barbarian, Hugh Morrus, Big Bubba, Konnan, Hart as manager, and Kevin Sullivan in a more serious leader role.
I think this is also why Raven's Flock didn't do as well as it could have.

The problem with Raven's flock is they seemed like a bunch of jobbers who got their asses beat constantly for Raven.

Ok, in my eyes as a pure mark then, WCW had the NWO, which was new, edgy, and just downright awesome. All other factions simply could not compare or were presented as victims/fed to the NWO. Plus the dungeon was not complete without the yeti:)

I think I can count the number of actual matches Sick Boy and Lodi - combined - had on Nitro, Thunder and PPVs while with the Flock on one hand.

I love lackeys in wrestling, but man, don't give Raven more than they have time to do anything with.

At the begining of 1997 Bubba Rogers goes to the NWO, then through out the year they would slowly disvolve and only the Faces of Fear and Jimmy Hart would remain until they parted ways

It really wasn't the DoD anymore, but still the same essential stable.

What sucks is that they had Raven (great worker), Saturn (ditto) Kidman (coming into his own as a cruisrweight) and Riggs (decent enough) Those 4 alone (and maybe like one more flunky) would have been a pretty solid stable. When you add in like 3 or 4 more scrubs, it waters down the whole concept

Honestly I always though they should have done some type of Kevin Sullivan/Raven hybrid type of stable with Sullivan as the manager. it would have been awesome if the Flock had been darker and more Lost Boys type rather than just jobbers for the NWO.

I wanted to make the same thread, but I did the Faces of Fear one so I decided not to bog it down.
I agree totally....also I wish the Flock was HUGE!

Wow. I totally wanted him to do a Lost Boys/Goth thing back then too. Kevin Sullivan could be the dad. Raven would be Keifer. And I wanted Hugh Morrus, Kiddman, Chris Candido to be in it. I haven't thought about that since 97. We should book together. Oh and I hated the Dungeon of Doom but Meng and Barbarian should have done a assassins for hire thing. The DoD didn't make any sense. What did a mexican gangster, a big fat ex cop, two crazy island types, a joke manager and a crazy devilish guy have to do with each other? It just made no sense to me then. At least when he was trying to kill Hulkamania it was all Hulk friends turned to the "dark" side, but later it became like "Why?"

Uh, anyway you win one of Kidman's fleas. he was also known as Van Hammer The Flock being losers was always the selling point Raven took in losers making himself a good wrestler Raven never really suffered from having the losers around him and once a wrestler was no longer a loser they broke out on there own (Saturn,Kidman)

Was Dungeon of Doom a take on Dungeons and Dragons, because it created so much controversy in the 80's. Maybe WCW wanted the 80's wrestling fans to tune into their shows as they would think...they are playing Dungeons and Dragons with Hulk Hogan!.WTF!

The Leprechaun is probably where WWE got the idea for Hornswoggle.
Did anyone know why Konnan joined the Dungeon of Doom? He lost the U.S. title and then the next week or so he's with them
