I liked Warlord and I dont dont feel he deserves so much crap as people would like to say about his wrestling style. Warlord was a huge guy with decent power moves. Too bad he never made an impact in the WWF or WCW. Nailz is gonna kill ya........

He was painfully bad, IMHO, but kinda cool.

He looked like a jacked up Steve Austin. I thought at one point he was scheduled to work a program with Hulk Hogan. I never much got the hate and thought he worked pretty well with Davey Boy Smith. He just didn't have the right appeal. They should have been able to do more with him.

He had the look, he had the crisma, he had power man skills, but Vince didn't want to push him to main event status go figure

I blame the change in the law regarding to steroids and the looming trial, several of the more muscular wrestlers were released the same year he was, Warrior, Sid, Kerry von Erich and Bulldog.
If you know you're being investigated by the government for roids, the Warlord is not someone you want on the payroll.

It is a shame he wasn't given a true push when he was a singles wrestler. I personally think The Powers of Pain are a very underrated tag team in history; even though they were brought in to counter The Road Warriors, I think they did a great job. When they split them up in the WWF; then it went all downhill for them.
I know The Barbarian had a "decent" run when he went back to WCW in the early 90s but much was never the same for The Warlord.

Maybe he would have stood out more if he wrestled someone other than the British Bulldog once in a while, they were too similar.

Warlord was huge and he looked like an awesome Phantom of the Opera with a W wand. That said I never really saw him as any sort of contender to Hogan or whoever. His shakey Full Nelson was pretty cool. I think it was Warlord that did that anyways. Edit: I guess it helps if I watch the video first.
Overall, at least he didn't have to wear antlers to the ring.

I enjoyed his work in WWE, I remember the first time I watched the 92 Royal Rumble and he came out at 30 I genuinely thought he would be winning it.
However since reading Jericho's book, I do refer to him as The Warload.

I always thought the Powers Of Pain were total beasts and even enjoyed when Warlord was wrestling Bulldog all the time. It's a shame he didn't make an impact in WCW. They could have at least brought him in for the Dungeon Of Doom later on down the line.
