Disco Inferno wasn't really that bad. I always wondered why they never dropped the disco gimmick and just went with him being more of just an Italian boss type of guy. They sort of did it when he joined The Mamalukes but it didn't last long.
he also had a really nice run as a the leader of S.E.X. in early TNA.

One of my all time favorites angles had to do with Disco. I doubt many will remember it because it occured mostly on Saturday Night/Pro. But the angle was that Disco was trying to learn a new "complex" leg lock as his finisher. He would bring out blueprints, step by step instructions etc during matches in order to perfect the lock. Every time though he would butcher the hold and his opponent would pick up wins. I dont think he ever used the hold.
This lasted a month or two until his first tv title reign..... then the angle was forgotten forever...until now that is haha

I think he even kept using it till the death of WCW, but it had changed from a finisher to a set up hold.

Are you sure? I was a huge disco fan and I don't even remember him using it I also believe that he did end up winning some matches with it. It was either Nitro or Thunder where I remember him breaking out the blueprints for it and locking it in for the win. The announcers acted shocked that he actually won with it.

Disco is one of those uniquely WCW guys that had a lot going for him but you knew McMahon would never "get." If the InVasion angle had Disco, I honestly feel it would have added a lot to its legitimacy.
I love how he would always try to join the "cool" stable of the time, first with the Wolfpack and then with The Filthy Animals (when he became Disqo, a play on the now-largely forgotten Sisqo).
Does anyone know what the story was with the plastic duck that he would carry out with him in 2000? I know it has something to do with a backstage joke between he and Russo, but I've never gotten confirmation that Glenn Gilberti fornicated with water fowls.

I always found Disco Inferno to be a goof when I was a kid...never understood why he was in the nWo Wolfpack. I always found him to be mediocre at best in the ring.
