There were a ton of hits and misses throughout that long, long toyline.
Tons of sweet realistic vehicles, but fun fantasy ones too.
I've always been partial to the Cobra Piranha. Mostly because I think it was the first one I ever got. I'm also a big fan of the simplicity of the Night Landing set. The Mega Marines Monster Blaster APC which was later redecoed into the B.A.T. APC is also one of my all time favorites.
Of recent stuff, the Steel Marauder and Deviant mecha suits, and HISS V tank.
Right now I'm looking into trying to get ahold of some vintage near complete MOBAT or Mauler tanks. Preferably still in working order.
I also like the ridiculous stuff, like the Pogo, and anything that puts the driver or gunner in direct and absurd danger.

Always loved the HISS Tank. How can you not love a tank with treads elevated for no apparent reason other than it looks badass?

Of the ones I own, I think I may like the RHINO the best. It's just a beast.

I tried for years to get my parents to buy me the Aircraft Carrier. I'm pretty sure it was like $100 back then though. I never got it.

You can get one now off of Ebay... assuming you have a thousand dollars or so to spare.

I don't collect vintage GI Joes, so I'm not sure. I would imagine that the prices vary depending upon the figure, and on whether you're looking for something that is loose or MOC.

As a kid, I had the GI Joe Headquarters playset. Be jealous!

I owned this huge tank with two giant missile launchers which had two cockpits and a turret at the top, which had is own spot for a 3rd figure to sit.
It even came with alternate stickers that said Canada instead of USA, which was pretty cool.

This thread is making me want to blow ridiculous amounts of money on Ebay in a quest to expand my GI Joe vehicle collection.

I dunno about the best - I liked a lot of them as a kid - but the WORST absolutely had to be the cheap little Wind Sail that you could mail-order. I think I tore the thin plastic sail within 3 minutes of putting the damn thing together.

Reminds me of my 5 year old brother pulling Legolas's arm clean off, just by trying to bend it. Normally I got irritated when he broke my stuff, but this time it wasn't his fault.

Far too many to choose from for me to settle on just one. HAVOC, Night Raven, Wolverine, Snow Cat, Ghost Rider's Stealth Fighter... <sigh> If there was one thing I would have loved to see them produce however, it would have been an RC Desert Fox.

My faves were the Dreadnock Thunder Machine, the Tiger Rat (Tiger Force repaint of a Rattler), the Stun, the Night Raven, and pretty much any of the first wave of Iron Grenadiers vehicles.
Come to think of it, the Iron Grenadiers were pretty bad ass and don't get their due.
