A line from the flick "Splash" in reference to the name "Madison". I was just watching that and found it pretty funny that back in the day "that is not a name" was pretty much true, and then because of that movie every kid that watched it in the 80's named their daughters Madison at such a rate it became one of the top 10 girl names. This could be an unusual name thread, or a mermaid thread I'm not sure, I've been up for 48 hours now. ;D

.....I hate that ****ing movie.
Spent most of my school years being teased about it because of that.
'Madison' was and always was a male name; hence, 'son' at the end. Was an English bastardization of a German name, etc. You won't find a single female with that name born before that movie came out, at least not their real name. If they do have it, I guarandamntee you that it's their stage name.
