Lil Wayne in 'Bedrock' (If someone can name me a worse song, I'd be happy to hear it)
"I knock her lights out, and she still shine" Does this mean he attacks his girlfriend?
Oh and the rap icon that is, Tiny Tempah!
"I got so many clothes I keep some in my aunts house!"
"I've been to London but I've never been to Scunthorpe" (Or something like that)

Okay, here's one.
Barenaked Ladies lyrics tend to be TERRIBLE... But they're the one band that does terrible lyrics well.
Look at the lyrics to One Week. They're f***ing awful, and that song is amazing, partly BECAUSE the lyrics are so f***ing bad. You would never expect a song with those lyrics to be so awesome.
It's been one week since you looked at me Cocked your head to the side and said "I'm angry" Five days since you laughed at me saying "Get that together come back and see me" Three days since the living room I realized it's all my fault, but couldn't tell you Yesterday you'd forgiven me but it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry
Hold it now and watch the hoodwink As I make you stop, think You'll think you're looking at Aquaman I summon fish to the dish, although I like the Chalet Swiss I like the sushi 'cause it's never touched a frying pan Hot like wasabe when I bust rhymes Big like LeAnn Rimes Because I'm all about value Bert Kaempfert's got the mad hits You try to match wits, you try to hold me but I bust through Gonna make a break and take a fake I'd like a stinkin achin shake I like vanilla, it's the finest of the flavours Gotta see the show, cause then you'll know The vertigo is gonna grow Cause it's so dangerous, you'll have to sign a waiver
How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad Trying hard not to smile though I feel bad I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral Can't understand what I mean? Well, you soon will I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve I have a history of taking off my shirt
It's been one week since you looked at me Threw your arms in the air and said "You're crazy" Five days since you tackled me I've still got the rug burns on both my knees It's been three days since the afternoon You realized it's not my fault not a moment too soon Yesterday you'd forgiven me And now I sit back and wait til you say you're sorry
Chickity China the Chinese chicken You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin' Watchin' X-Files with no lights on We're dans la maison I hope the Smoking Man's in this one Like Harrison Ford I'm getting frantic Like Sting I'm tantric Like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy
Like Kurasawa I make mad films Okay, I don't make films But if I did they'd have a Samurai Gonna get a set a' better clubs Gonna find the kind with tiny nubs Just so my irons aren't always flying off the back-swing Gotta get in tune with Sailor Moon 'Cause the cartoon has got the boom anime babes That make me think the wrong thing
How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad Tryin' hard not to smile though I feel bad I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral Can't understand what I mean? Well, you soon will I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve I have a history of losing my shirt
It's been one week since you looked at me Dropped your arms to your sides and said "I'm sorry" Five days since I laughed at you and said "You just did just what I thought you were gonna do" Three days since the living room We realized we're both to blame, but what could we do? Yesterday you just smiled at me Cause it'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry Birchmount Stadium, home of the Robbie
...Oh f***, now I'm listening to that song again. It'll never stop. I'M SO ADDICTED.

Kriss Kross - Jump Some of them try to rhyme but they can't rhyme like this Some of them try to rhyme but they can't rhyme like this Some of them try to rhyme but they can't rhyme like this
That doesn't rhyme dingus.
Nickelback - Rockstar The entire song
What is this supposed to be? Sending up the cliche of the life of a Rockstar? So they're saying that it's not really like that, it's all misconceptions? Or they think it's funny because that's how their lives are? Either way it's insulting to the audience: "You think our lives are like this? HA you're stupid." "You think our lives are like this? They are. And yours aren't HA." So i guess the point i'm driving at is Nickelback sucks.

It's not just Fred Durst who rhymes words with themselves, Black Sabbath have done it too: Generals gathered in their masses Just like witches at black massesThe original lyric was "Witches gathered at black masses / Bodies burning in red ashes" but when the song "Walpurgis" became "War Pigs", the lyric was changed into... that. Still a great song, though. I think that can slide cause its two different meanings of the same word. It's still rhyming the same thing, but its forgivable. Rhyming here and here is not, however.

The line from that Timbaland/One Republic song where he says "I need you like a heart needs a beat" always made me cringe. I asked my ex-girlfriend(who is my best friend now) if I had used that line on her while we were dating if we would still be together. She said if I had used that line on her,she would've broke up with me sooner. I told her I was just checking if girls would actually fall for a line that dumb.

I have no idea what the song is, bug the line is
"I'm sorry I misleaded you (pretty lady) I'm sorry I mistreated you (pretty lady)"
MISLEADED IS NOT A WORD. Jesus!
Also have to love Thin Lizzy "Jailbreak":
"Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak Somewhere in this town"
Somewhere in this town, huh? Maybe in the JAIL?!

I really enjoy Celtic Frost's Monotheist album, and I really love the song Ain Elohim off said album, but there is one line from that song that I've always thought was lame:
"Scourge them with flames of fire."
Really? As opposed to flames of water? What the hell?

"She had dumps like a truck, truck, truck." -Sisqo, The Thong Song
You're singing about how hot chicks' asses look in thongs. There's nowhere in that concept that you can add the word "dumps" without conjuring images of feces.

Back it up and dump it on me. I've said that to a few women in my time.

"I'm in the distribution, I'm like Atlantic I got them motherf***ers flyin' 'cross the Atlantic"
Of all the horrible lines in "Hustlin,'" this is the worst.

Cause knowing is it's own answer Love something in a book There's not much left to ponder Not much left to cook.
A really weak line from the awesome Glass and the Ghost Children by The Smashing Pumpkins.

Four pages and no mention of Beck?
EDIT - Also, the redundancy of "3AM in the morning" really took me out of that song.

True, I was thinking the same myself after I posted that. A better example of Rhyming With Itself in a good song would probably be The Doors rhyming "fire" with "fire" in "Light My Fire". But enough about that, back to the lines that are actually awful: "In a time when dinosaurs walked the Earth..." What the hell, Steve Harris?

Can't believe this thead's four pages in and Daphne & Celeste ain't been mentioned yet!
" Your mama, your daddy Your greasy, greasy grandmammy You got a hole in your panty Got a big behind like Frankenstein Going beep-beep-beep down Sesame Street Toot-toot-toot wear army boots In your ear with a can of beer Up your butt with a coconut OOOHHHH!"
Yep, and believe it or not it gets even worse and, some of their songs have even more laughably awful lyrics.

This is a little bit more generic, but personally, I almost ALWAYS cringe when proper names are used in a song. Something just seems wrong about it.
