Dead Birds. I don't *think* it made it theatrically.

I like Wake Up, Ron Burgundy better than Anchorman.
Cinderella 3 is pretty good, by far the best of the DTV Disney animated sequels.
I love to watch Hard Cash, but at the same time I really can't say that it's a legitimately great or even good movie. Some of the things that I find funny are intentional, but most of them are not.
Cannibal! The Musical is my favorite work of Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Another good Troma DTV title off the top of my head is Fatty Drives the Bus.
For what it is Run Ronnie Run is pretty great. Nothing on the level of Mr. Show and probably not as good as it could've been under the control of Bob and David (and friends), but still really funny.
Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3 are my favorites in the series, and I think have a uniquely absurd light comic tone to them.
White Dog is a very interesting (though arguably problematic) film. I find the scene where Kirsty McNichol confronts the benevolent and sweet old racist man (with his adorable grandchildren beside him) to be particularly memorable. (It was, however, directed by Sam Fuller, so probably not surprising that it might be considered great.)
Larry Cohen directed two good-to-great DTV films, A Return to Salem's Lot and It's Alive III: Island of the Alive.
I remember Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (written by Joel Hodgson) being a fun movie.
I got a good deal of enjoyment from the shot-on-DV film Twisted Sisters that was direct-to-DVD.

Interesting. Tony Williams, author of a wonderful book on Cohen writes that "Q: The Winged Serpent (1982) and The Stuff (1985) received theatrical distribution but It's Alive 3 (1986) and A Return to Salem's Lot (1987) went direct to video", but IMDB says that "This film and A Return to Salem's Lot (1987) were intended to go straight to video, they were instead given a limited theatrical release before hitting video", and I can find an article on Google news archive for a review of Return to Salem's Lot stating "At the Showcase cinemas" so it did happen. I was just going off of what I remembered from Williams' book and the audio commentary for Island of the Alive.

Brick. One of my favorite films. I know for a fact Brick had a limited theatrical run. It also played at a lot of film festivals.

I really liked "Trick 'r Treat". I believe that had a limited theatrical run, so I wouldn't count that as a DtDVD release. If it is, then it's definitely on my list. Indeed! The fact that it didn't make it into theaters (it only showed at a few festivals) is a crime I will someday make WB be held accountable for. That movie NEEDS to be seen with a crowd!

Batman: A XXX Parody I actually wish they'd make a 60's Batman style movie(complete with costumes).

Wishmaster 4 is pretty good. Much better than Wishmaster 3 anyway.
