I really don't get the fascination with watching poker on tv, but I understand people like it.
Yesterday I just discovered they put a couple of seasons of I think ''Poker after Dark" (sounds dirty doesn't it?) on DVD.
So I'm assuming that someone needs these valuable games in their library. How many times are these gonna be watched?
Just seemed pointless to me, but to each their own

I remember right before poker broke huge, I was working retail and we got a DVD set in for the World Series of Poker.
I couldn't imagine who would want that. To watch poker? The f***?
Then within a few months, it was EVERYWHERE.

I like watching poker though doubt I would ever buy a DVD of it. Once you've seen a game that's it, why watch it again.
I like the high stakes poker where pros play in real cash games with some pots hitting the half million mark.

The World Poker Tour put out their first season as a box set. I've never seen any subsequent seasons, probably cause I was the only one who bought the thing (Hey I hadn't seen season one at the time)

Unless it has a kick-ass blooper reel, I wouldn't see it.
I mean, if it has a game where someone flips the table and goes after the dealer with a broken bottle or something, I might want to at least rent it.

Then within a few months, it was EVERYWHERE. One of the seasons, think the first, was sitting at my local Dollar General for $10. They went on clearance for 75% off and I went home to see if I could flip them on amazon for a profit in gift certs. They were only going for $1.50, though. They finally reached 90% off, but I didn't even bother as the trade-in dropped to $1.25.
