Wrestling has had its ups and downs, but it's also had its share of highly memorable, and historical, moments. I'm not just talking about your favorite matches; I'm referring to incidents that were memorable and had lasting effects and are still talked about today.
Some examples could be the Montreal Screwjob, The MSG incident and the Hogan heel turn. Even moments like the Mass Transit incident and the Pillman-Gun angle.
Again, I'm not talking about your favorite matches, but some, like Foley's title win (including the events surround it) could be included.
So in other words, if there were a timeline that listed events that changed wrestling or something, what are they?

Muta joining NWO in Japan. This was a BIG deal in Japan, not as big as Hogan but still very major.

Eddie G. winning the WWE title. I couldn't believe he got it. Such an incredible moment for me at least.
Mankind winning the WWE title on Raw.
Hogan's heel turn.
Chris Benoit and Eddie celebrating in the ring after WMXX. Awesome, awesome moment. I was supremely happy that those two were the world champions of WWE at the time.
Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle. My two favorite wrestlers in the world, colliding at last, at Wrestlemania no less.

Raleigh NC, November 15, 2000. My first WWF house show. A 13 minute Rock/HHH main event, with Rock singing "Smackdown Hotel" afterward.
Solid Midcard too, with the NAO vs Edge and Christian, and Mankind vs. Al Snow
Walked into a Kroger grocery store that morning and bought 10th row seats for $25 bucks.
Show went over the three hour mark, and me and my friend witnessed a BRUTAL fight three rows behind us (this took place during a Viscera match, so it was all good).
God, Wrestling was great back then.

Hogan beating the Iron Sheik for the WWF World title. That's what started it all
Hogan beating Andre the Giant to successfully defend the title, while slamming Andre
Honky Tonk Man beating Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat for the Intercontinental title, still one of the greatest upsets of all time.
Ultimate Warrior beating Honky Tonk Man a year and a half later, ending the longest I-C title reign in history and defining an era.
Ultimate Warrior defeating Hulk Hogan for the WWF title.

-Jeff Hardy busting out a Swanton on Buh Buh from the biggest friggin' ladder I've ever seen @ WM16 -Hulk Hogan's Heel Turn @ BATB 96 (I saw it live and was in shock...I pine for those days when WCW PPVs were shown on Australian cable live for free) -Hogan putting Goldberg over clean on Nitro (I still can't believe this happened) -SCSA joining forces with Vince @ WM17 (It shocked the Mark Henry out of me, pity they screwed up the heel turn badly though) -HBK & British Bulldog becoming the last two men in the Royal Rumble after being the #1 & #2 entries @ RR95 (A major mark-out moment for me and the best finish to a Rumble ever!) -Chris Benoit reversing a Tornado DDT into a Crippler Crossface on a Dec 2000-Jan 2001 episode of Smackdown! (still the coolest looking reversal I've seen) -Triple H putting over Benoit clean and tapping out and the postmatch celebration with Eddie. (Another major mark-out moment) -And a bunch of Mick Foley moments including: Winning the belt on Raw, Hell In A Cell: against Taker KOTR 98, against Trips @ No Way Out 2000 (Foley gets backdropped through the top of the cell and goes crashing through the canvas). You can also add Mind Games when Foley tries to backdrop HBK through a table and HBK reverses it into a cross body, I flipped the f%$# out when I first saw that (I was thirteen). I could go on for ages, but I'll shut up now

Not the biggest and it did start a terrible angle, but when Lance Storm "invaded" a WWE match. I wasn't into the IWC yet, so this caught me totally off guard, and I marked so big. When Brock Lesnar superplexed Big Show, and the rong collapsed. It was made better by Taz swearing when he sold it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8nHKQ-mw9o

Somehow, I think the most recent one would be Edge using his MITB and the forums and WWE.com crashing down shortly after that...

Somehow, I think the most recent one would be Edge using his MITB and the forums and WWE.com crashing down shortly after that... I was Modding that night and I don't recall the forums crashing. I remember trying to condense all the celebration threads to a couple of all purpose ones, but that was about it.
