I was wondering if anybody here has ever been to an iMPACT taping, if so how was it? I was thinking about maybe going sometime (permitting that they don't leave the Impact Zone anytime soon) but is it worth it at all?

I was wondering if it'd be smaller than it looks since it takes place on a soundstage. It sounds like you had a great time though!

It definately is a fun time going. It made me be a mark again the last time I went. Besides any time I've been denied entry due to it being full i've always had a good time there. They encourage the fans to be loud and if you are constantly making noise and they spot you they sometimes take you backstage to meet who ever is back there and sometimes they give away dvds and shirts. I havent been to a show since Hulk & Bischoff came in so im not sure if they still do that.

I go when I can, I've only been to January 4th and this Tuesday, and well, it's a LOT louder now because they have a DJ playing music absurdly loud between matches and commercial breaks.

I'm guessing a lot of chanting is involved.
A lot.

Do they use the same building that WCW Worldwide (which I attended once) used to?

Do they use the same building that WCW Worldwide (which I attended once) used to? That was MGM, wasn't it? Isn't TNA filmed at Universal?

Yeah they still give out dvds and shirts and let you go backstage if you scream loud enough...I screamed at the top of my voice jumped up and down waved frantically and lost my voice...to no avail

Im not sure about the Impact Zone, but I have attended 2 TNA live events and they were awesome. I think TNA is definetely the wrestling company to go see live, they always put on a good show.

I'm not sure if WCW Saturday Night was taped in the same soundstage but I don't think it was or else they would have mentioned it.
Nickelodeon GUTS and RollerJam(old TNN roller derby show from ten years ago) were taped there though.
