I was looking through the title histories of OVW and noticed that Randy Orton was a two time hardcore champion there. He actually was the last holder of the title and only 3 other people held the belt. He was the only two time holder of the title. I never really picture Randy as a "hardcore" wrestler.
Any other wierd or suprising titles that people have held that you know of?

Back in his early days....remember this was before he came up to the wwe. When he came in I never thought...."Wow that guy could work a great hardcore match."

So you're not at all suprised that Orton was the holder of the title 2 of the 5 times it was held? Wouldn't you think they would put it on wrestlers they were grooming to come up to be more hardcore?
Guys like Big Bossman Jericho Jeff Hardy Road Dogg Test
all made sense to have the title and there was the whole 24/7 thing
OVW didn't have the 24/7 rule with the hardcore title (though they had it with the women's)
If Orton had won it as a fluke with a 24/7 rule I wouldn't be suprised. Considering the fact that they made him the face of the hardcore division twice does suprise me because as I said with the way he was at the time I would have never associated him with hardcore wrestling.

I have to agree with the above posts I would not have seen him as a hardcore wrestler but his match with Foley proved it. And I assume OVW's hardcore division was just garbage fluff.

It that clip of his hardcore match with Cactus Jack... his bump after the cookie sheet shot was probably the best cookie-sheet-shot I've ever seen. And that sentence was really difficult to type.
