It's the little things that make this guy who he is. He is absolute gold and I think that he's finally got his big break in TNA.
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a HUGE mark for this guy and have been for ages now. Ever since 2005, I've called this guy the absolute future of the business. He can wrestle, he can talk, he can act, he can have good matches. There's nothing holding him back here, this is what he is capable of and I'm just glad he's got the opportunity to show it. Remember when he first came into the WWE, he had basically the character he has now... he was over the top, in your face and pretty much mocked anything and everything and produced it as sarcasm in his promos? WWE took that away. They saw that "Kennedy Declares" was getting too over, and they scrapped it. Basically, they were preventing him from breaking out by doing his thing.
It didn't work. Eliminate his injuries and just look at his WWE run, he became somewhat stale, right? He was cutting the same promo almost every night, and wrestling the same match, right? In TNA he doesn't do this. Both him and Kurt Angle are putting on the best feud in TNA right now, by giving amazing promos and telling a real story that the fans can get interested in. The blood adds so much to this feud, the whole medal cutting the face thing is unique and hasn't been done before. The way he spat the gum on Angles head was absolute GOLD. I think this guy could be THE guy in TNA, the guy who puts them on the map, obviously with the help of the other established guys. But yeah, I think this guy could be what The Rock was to the WWF, during the Attitude Era.
I can't wait for the match at Destination X. Their last match was awesome, and it put Anderson over huge. He beat Kurt Angle, not by cheating, not by distraction, there was no excuses. He beat him fair and square and the commentators simply said he was the better man. I can't remember the last time a guy like Mr. Anderson beat a guy like Kurt Angle in the WWE without any excuses. This is what TNA excells at, they're not afraid of their top stars losing heat, they know it won't happen because they're too well respected for that.
I just wanted to get that off my chest, here is to a healthy run in TNA for Ken, I hope to see him here for a while.

He's been putting on a heel master-class. I haven't been big on the general WCWWE wannabe direction of TNA but Anderson has been great.
Also, kudos to Kurt. Not many main-event faces will make the opposition look so good.

As much as I like Anderson's mic work in the Angle feud, I can't help but wonder if he's getting a huge push in TNA because he's one of their few available talents that can do WWE-style promos well. Watching Styles or Abyss stumble their way through a "WWE" promo makes Anderson look like a true superstar, whereas in WWE, there were other guys that could do it too.
In other words, getting a genuine WWE talent in their quest to look as much like WWE as possible makes Anderson look terrific in comparison to most of the rest of TNA.

I am trying to figure out why there's an X on Kurt's forehead in your sig jSYN.
I don't know what it is with Mr. Anderson, but I like him less now then I did at the end of his time in WWE and I started out as a huge fan of his way back when.
Maybe it's because everytime in WWE when he started building up momentum he kept getting injured and I am iffy on trying to get behind a wrestler only to see him get hurt right away and be gone for 6 months.

The X is from "Destination X" - it's overlayed all over the whole sig.

Anderson's the best heel in the business. His charisma is light years ahead of any heel in the WWE, including the overrated Randy Orton and Edge.

Yeah, I have to admit I finally get what the big deal was about this guy. He was so bland and watered down near the end of his WWE run that I just couldn't care, but he's now playing his role to absolute perfection.

He has a different style to Orton and Edge, but charisma is a different thing entirely, and they all have it in buckets, they just show it in different ways.

What I'll give Anderson infinite credit for is that he knows he's a heel, and he doesn't try to get any face pops from the crowd whatsoever.
In fact, TNA as a whole has gotten MUCH better about this in the past few months (even before the Hogan arrival): their company heels just aren't likable, but in the good, "the crowd will pay to see you get your butt kicked" way.
Still doesn't always work (i.e. the "You're all awesome!" crowd silliness during the X-Division 6 man tag a couple weeks ago), but by and large, Anderson, AJ, Sting, the Brits, etc., all have the crowds booing them pretty strongly.

I've been a huge Anderson/Kennedy mark since his first Smackdown appearance (which is a classic in my mind, go back and check it out again). The man can do no wrong in my eyes, and ever since a few weeks back I've been walking around the house randomly yelling out "Winner, winner, chicken dinner, MISSSSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH AAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNDEERRRRRRRRRRSOOOOONNN!!!"

The former Kennedy if he is able to stay healthy and deliver quality matches and promos like he's been could find redemption in Orlando. Some with D'angelo Dinero as well.
Mr. Anderson's the type of guy who you love to hate and enjoy watching him getting what's coming to him.

I've always been a big Kennedy fan but I've not seen much of him in TNA. Has he brought back the Green Bay Plunge at all? I freaking loved that as his finisher.
Just a shame he has to call himself Mr Anderson. Mr Kennedy has a better ring to it, even if Anderson opens up Matrix references.

No Green Bay Plunge yet, but don't be surprised to see it at Lockdown. The GBP off the cage, if possible would be one of the best things in wrestling in YEARS. He's using the standing green bay plunge and following up with the Kenton Bomb (Swanton Bomb) now. WWE removed that from him when Jeff returned in 06. But TNA lets them both do it and that's a good thing.
And I wouldn't say him and Orton's gimmicks are that different, Anderson plays a better psycho bastard than Orton IMO. The way he was bashing Kurt's head in with the mic and then spat the gum on his head was way better done than anything Orton has done in the past 3 years. I don't really know how to describe his gimmick but he is definitely in psycho bastard mode when he's fighting Kurt Angle.

Anderson is a lot more of a sarcastic ass compared to Ortons pure pychopathic awesomeness
Orton is one of my favs in wrestling, I think he plays his character flawlessly. Anyway, enough of that, this is an Anderson thread! Ive always loved him, from Kennedy declares to his feud with Taker, to Mr MITB, so on and so forth. And Im really glad to see him active again and doing what he does best, and thats be, imo, one of the best heels in the business.

While I'll say he's definitely doing well/ impressing in TNA; I wouldn't say he's been given his 'big break' as he had multiple chances to succeed in the 'E as well; it's not as if they left him floundering with nothing to do.
Everything else I agree with though.

I think he will win Sunday and he and Angle will continue their feud and be this year's team captains for Lethal Lockdown. I don't see why not.
