He's just like Elijah Burke in the way that in TNA, he seems to have a lot more creative control over his character.

He's just like Elijah Burke in the way that in TNA, he seems to have a lot more creative control over his character. I think a lot (if not all) of the TNA wrestlers have creative control over their characters nowadays, and I love that. Even looking to that Shannon Moore promo with the DILLIGAF and Glam Rock stuff. That promo didn't seem like it was written by a team of writers... it seemed like Shannon Moore just decided what he wanted to say, and he said it. Sure his promo was silly and bizarre, but still -- it's up to the wrestlers to sink or swim. If he sinks, then it was his own fault. But if he swims, then it's because he was talented enough to get himself over. One of the things about current WWE that really turned me off is how heavily scripted it became. I'd rather see a more raw and less-than-perfectly produced show, because it seems more "real". Well, as real as wrestling can get, anyway.

I've tried to enjoy Mr. Anderson but I just can't do it. I mean, the guy briefly mentioned beating a gorilla in a promo about a month back and it just ruined the whole angle for me.

Anderson's the best heel in the business. His charisma is light years ahead of any heel in the WWE, including the overrated Randy Orton and Edge. ..... Im a tad confused.

Anderson I thought was in credible in WWE but his constant injury issues ruined him and his mega-pushes.
With the lighter schedule he's looking amazing again, the best heel out in wrestling right now, I HATE the guy's abrasiveness while he is on screen but marvel at him when his segments are over, and he's capable of putting on fantastic matches (hopefully for years to come).

I haven't seen Andersons work in TNA yet, but I HATE it when anyone, including Anderson himself, acts like its the WWE's fault he didn't work out over there. Its the biggest reason I just can't bring myself to like the guy himself. All of his post release interviews talking about how it was the WWE that blew it...just...ugh.

The WWE has plenty of chronically injured performers; Edge, Batista, Cena, Triple H, Taker, HBK -- just to name a few. That's why I've never bought into all the anti-Anderson talk, talk that revolves almost entirely around his injuries. The double-standards are ridiculous.

Anderson is one of those guys that should always be in the heel role. He's just to damn good in it to be a face. That, to me at least, was the reason he just fizzled out in WWE. Yeah he had injury problems of course, but when he went face he was just so bland and boring, which is a HUGE problem they have when they turn a really good heel face.
They act like, well the fans started cheering this guy as a heel so we're all set! We'll just turn him face and just stop having him do his heelish things and the fans just keep on cheering! Instead of actually giving them a face character or a reason for being a face. They just suck the life out of the character and just expect the fans to keep cheering because they remember what they used to do.
Look at John Morrison. Was over big as a heel. Had a great character, had the Dirt Sheet, was half of one of the better tag teams in a long time. One night his partner hits his finisher on him and suddenly he's a face. Nothing more then that, he just happens to be a face now. Ever since, he's done absolutely nothing character wise. He's still fun to watch in the ring and is very good. He just has zero character basically. I don't think I even need to mention face Randy Orton from 2004.
When Mr. Kennedy became a face, it was pretty much to support the fact that they put him in a movie. He still could do his announcing of himself. But the thing is, it's not just that that got him over. It was everything he did on the mic. Once he became face, he lost 85% of it. He was just dull.
Now in TNA as a heel, he has new life again. He's getting to do all the things that make him great and an awesome character. If he can stay healthy this time, he should be a top heel in the company.

I actually like him alot less now than I did in WWE (though I was never a fan to begin with). But admittedly, part of that is probably backlash because I feel like some people are over-rating him to vast degree.

He is being a great heel, his feud with Angle could last for a long time and I hope it does.

Anderson's the best heel in the business. His charisma is light years ahead of any heel in the WWE, including the overrated Randy Orton and Edge. Orton is miles ahead of Kennedy as a heel, as is Jericho, Punk and Batista. Orton is robotic on a good day. Slap a tan and 4" on Hardcore Holly and who could tell the difference? Jericho's gimmick is that he's purposely boring, as opposed to the unintentionally boring he'd been for the previous six years. Punk is decent I suppose, but not on Kennedy's level. Batista is a meathead whose promos are sloppy. He's moderately entertaining only because he's went full-on heel for the first time in five years. Give it a month or two and he'll go right back to being Ultimate Warrior 2000. None are the sure-fire megastars that Kennedy is. The WWE knew it, too, as they had planned on giving Kennedy a year-long buildup to cashing in his Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania before the inhumane WWE schedule caught up with him, as it has many others. Kennedy will be the biggest star in this industry two years from now. Right now he's post-King of the Ring Steve Austin. Angle is his Bret Hart. Pope will soon be his Rock, as the two are clearly Bound For Glory.

I'm a huge Anderson fan and I really, really want to see Kurt Angle kick his ass every week. That's how good a job he's doing. Most of the time heels are just like "oh yeah I'm the bad guy, boo at me." Anderson takes it to a new level while keeping it completely kayfabe rather than it being x-pac heat as you guys call it.

I haven't seen a lot of Kennedy in TNA (Anderson is an awful name, so I won't be using it - same for Dinero), but I've always been a big fan. Would take him over Orton any day of the damn century, and prefer him to the stale-as-Hell Jericho too. Punk... Eh, Punk is better as a face anyway.
With the Batista thing though, no. Batista's an awesome heel.

As much as I like Anderson's mic work in the Angle feud, I can't help but wonder if he's getting a huge push in TNA because he's one of their few available talents that can do WWE-style promos well. Watching Styles or Abyss stumble their way through a "WWE" promo makes Anderson look like a true superstar, whereas in WWE, there were other guys that could do it too. In other words, getting a genuine WWE talent in their quest to look as much like WWE as possible makes Anderson look terrific in comparison to most of the rest of TNA. You know, if nothing else, I would agree one of his biggest boons is handling that style of promo excellently. I like Anderson, I just hope he's mastered consistency, which was his biggest issue in WWE, outside of gaffes in interviews.
