Wow, that crowd went nuts when Warrior ran out. You're right, crowds are never this hot any more!

That clip is under 2 mins, but there is so much to love about it.
The look of shock on Honky's face.
Finkel scrambling to get out of the ring.
The crowd flipping out & getting the payoff they had been waiting for over a year.
Proof that every match doesn't have to go a long amount of time to totally satisfy the fans.

My Wife was there as a little girl. She vividly recalls marking out for Ultimate Warrior and going crazy when he won, because she was a huge fan.

That may have been the past payoff for that angle w/ Honky also. For well over a year, the guy had been excaping w/ his belt and driving people nuts, then the Warrior shows up and just whomps him before he has a chance to escape.

You're missing the point everyone.
Warrior couldn't work and everyone hated him.
Warrior rules!

This is the same year I started watching wrestling. It was actually just two weeks before SummerSlam when I started watching because I remember the build up of that 2 weeks. I was a Warrior fan from the start (even though I was only 3 turning 4 that year) This is evident when I look back because I had Warrior make up on in some old pictures.
As far as short Warrior matches in general. I was at a house show (my first one) and Warrior ran in and won in a squash I believe it was over Vader. He was in and out. My mom commented that if you blinked you would have missed him totally. I was still into him at the time and to be honest despite the fact that he's a less than stellar individual I still look back on him fondly.

Wow, that crowd went nuts when Warrior ran out. You're right, crowds are never this hot any more! That's because wrestlnig as a whole is not that hot anymore and the fans who would be cheering for Warrior then would already know he was going to win the title because of the internet and the over exposure of wrestling in general has taken a lot away from the product over the past 10 years esspecially. It's very unfair to just blame the crowd for not being hot anymore.
