I never knew about heat with Zenk & Martel but I remember the angle played on TV was, Zenk split the team cause he was afraid of the Islanders who they just started feuding with. The whole deal was the Zenk wanted more money from the company, but they didn't want to pay him as much as he wanted so Zenk bolted. Zenk was trying to get Martel to leave with him, but Martel refused because he was happy in the WWF. If I remember from Martel's shoot, it was him and I think either Pat Patterson or Jack Lanza (well one of the agents at the time) went to see Zenk to talk Zenk into coming back. Zenk was like "f*** 'em, I don't need em." Martel basically washed his hands of Zenk after that.

Ax and Smash were very close for years but grew apart at the end of their partnership in 1990. During Ax's solo shoot interview (in 2006, before the Demolition reunion), he alluded that Smash was a backstabber, and stated that he told Smash right after their Survivor Series 1990 match, "so long Barry, this will be the last time I talk to you." That was Ax's last WWF match, and Ax and Smash did not speak to one another for nearly 17 years following that event. Both men now attribute their differences to a lot of behind the scenes miscommunications and pot-stirring by WWF personnel. Didn't Owen once say that he and koko never really got on. Not like legit hated each other, but just weren't pals outside the ring? Yeah, Owen said that in WWF magazine in 1993. He said that he didn't have anything personal against Koko, but that they weren't friends and have different lifestyles.

That would likely have been kayfabe, though. That, and his prank stories could imply that might need to be taken with a grain of salt.

My mistake about Martel and Santana. I guess they sold their split and feud very effectivly to me :-)

Weren't The Dicks split up and fired because of a fight they had backstage?

Kawada supposedly didn't like Taue one iota, but they tagged together for seven years because it was good for business.

Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow teamed in Japan, and I seem to remember hearing that they didn't really get along. I don't know if that was actually the case or not. Someone more up on the Japanese scene might know.

Sabu & Taz(z) reportedly didn't like each other very much in their ECW days, and they had a run as partners/champions.

Dynamite Kid's hatred of Davey Boy mostly came from the fact Dynamite's body was falling apart and "Davey was the one who smiled and waved, Davey was the one getting the pins, Davey was the one walking Matilda to the ring, Davey was the one the company had big plans for", while Dynamite had the embedded scowl on his face, mainly from the pain he was going through. Years later, when Dynamite attempted a comeback in England, a trade commission stopped him from calling himself "The British Bulldog" Dynamite Kid on house shows, because the WWF put a trademark on that nickname for Smith. (Source either Dynamite's book or the Stampede Wrestling history book.)
Kronus, I believe, was considered the "more athletic" of the Eliminators because of his background in gymnastics. But when Saturn blew out his ACL in mid-1997, I can see possible friction when Kronus never checked up on his partner and instead went ahead and teamed with New Jack as "the Gangstanators". Maybe he had that "Rock" thing where he felt he didn't need to improve as long as he can still rely on that handspring moonsault over the top rope. (Just an explanation about the possibility.)
As far as Mustafa, he wasn't really "fired". It was just getting too expensive to fly him out from where he lived in Nevada to ECW shows on the East Coast every weekend, and Paul told him as such. He either had to move or he'd have to find somewhere else to work. He got tired of having to cover why Mustafa wasn't at certain house shows - he wasn't going to say "the guy won't move closer to his job so I can save a few bucks on airfare". So, they "made up" how he was always getting locked up. The funny thing about the Gangstas was that New Jack was nearly fired several times because of shoot comments, refusing to do an angle (due to a Brian Pillman interview where he compared the Gangstas to the rap group N.W.A. but New Jack misunderstood and thought he just got called the N-word by Pillman; he either wanted "equal time or he was quitting" - Heyman & Mustafa both told New Jack "You're blowing your last shot!") or other out-of-the-ring "activities", yet Mustafa was the guy who was being the company man without incident, and yet he was the one let go. I am not sure if these two had beef, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were problems. I once read how Mankind and Vader teamed back in 1997, but did Foley and Vader have beef because of the ear accident from their WCW days? Just wondering.

Vader had apologised profusely to Foley over it and the only thing that got to Foley over the incident was that WCW failed utterly to capitalise on it. They retained a fairly healthy relationship.

Believe it or not, The Rock and Foley didn't like each other during the first run of the Rock and Sock Connection. I think this was due to Rock not apologizing for smacking Foley 10 times in the head with a steel chair. I remember seeing a clip where Rock or Foley alluded in a promo that the former though the team was a waste of time. This was around when they came back together to face Evolution.

For the most part, Vader's a big teddy bear. He was inconsolable when he thought he'd paralyzed Joe Thurman.

Foley said in his books that he thought the team was a waste. It was meant to lead into a Rock/Mankind feud to cap off Foley's career, but instead it was just Rock and Mankind doing promos together. Sure, they were a draw; but, as Foley put it, the Rock himself was already a draw, so neither of them really benefited from the team.

Nope. Vader had apologised profusely to Foley over it and the only thing that got to Foley over the incident was that WCW failed utterly to capitalise on it. They retained a fairly healthy relationship. You're getting the ear incident confused with the time Vader knocked out foley with a powerbomb on the cement floor. Vader would have no reason to apologize for the ear incident. Foley called for the hangman spot and the ropes were to tight. Neither man's fault in the least.
