Not sure if this belongs in here or Off Topic.
As my iPod has crashed and required restoration yet again, I've taken it upon myself to re-re-sort my collection of entrance music.
Currently, I have it sorted in iTunes like such, for example.
Name: This Fire Burns Artist: World Wrestling Entertainment Album: CM Punk
I do this, overriding whatever album or artist it is actually, just to keep all the wrestling themes together. Plus, a lot of the older themes or more obscure ones don't have an artist or album listed anyway. Only problem with this method is that in Cover Flow, now I have a dozen-dozen WWE logos (since I use that for the cover art) since every separate wrestler shows up as a different album.
There's gotta be a more efficient way to sort this sort of thing. How does everybody else do it?

Artist is always 'Entrance Theme', and Album is either whatever album it came off or what promotion it's from. As for the actual name, mostly it's the name of the track itself, with the wrestler in parentheses.

I usually do the name of the wrestler Artist as whatever promotion or if its a real band i'll put it in as that. It its a wwe edit ill usually put it as wwe Album as the song or the persons nickname
I definately try and get a good picture for the cover art.
ie
Kane WWE The Big Red Machine
Snitsky WWE It Wasn't My Fault
Luke Gallows WWE Straight Edge Soldier
Steve Blackman WWF The Lethal Weapon
Stuff like that.

In iTunes, right click on a song/album and choose "Get Info", under that make your Album Artist the same for all that you want to group together (say Wrestling Themes) and Artist the wrestler or whatever, that will group them together in most views.
For example mine would look like: Song: This Fire Burns [CM PUNK] Artist: Killswitch Engage Album Artists: Themes Album: WWE The Music Vol. Whatever (to keep all themes together no matter the CD, name this something like WWE Themes for all)

I've been meaning to do wrestling playlists on my iPod for a while now but haven't gotten around to it and have been trying to figure out how I want to do it. I do have a plan to do an ECW playlist, since almost all of the themes were licensed music and very few had themes that were original. Also, a PPV theme playlist is another. I still don't know if I should add licensed songs that were used in a wrestling theme playlist when I do one. Like for example, when Victoria used "All The Things She Said" from t.A.T.u or when Undertaker used "Rollin'" and "American Bad Ass".

Artist is always WRESTLING. I stick all my wrestler themes on one album, which I think I've called WRESTLER SONGS or something. So one minute I could be listening to Jack Swagger's theme, and the next Kendo Ka Shin's. It's all wrestling, after all.

I usually put the Genre as "Wrestling", regardless of what type of music the theme is. As for this post, I have 801 themes....

Since I get them by WWE: The Music and TNA albums, it's usually Artist: Various; Title: CM Punk/This Fire Burns; Album: WWE: The Music Volume _

I just leave it as its classified since it's too much work.
For playlists though I have it organized as
WWE- Current (Themes from right now) WWE- Old (Themes from 2002 through guys that were just released) WWE- PPV Themes WWE- Production Themes WWF-Attitude Era (Themes from late 1997 through 2001) WWF- Golden Era (Themes from 80's through the New Generation)
Yes, I'm a geek.
