polldaddy.com/poll/3148833/?view=results&msg=votedI've seen so much hate on RVD being champ and how The Pope deserved to win the title instead. The latest poll implies to me that The Pope isn't ready or popular enough for the title yet. Key word being yet. I'm a little suprised that Matt Morgan has so many votes. I didn't know he was the most popular guy in the company.

I think some of the reason for the lack of Pope votes is that he's injured, so even if he won, he wouldnt be able to get his shot, and some people know that. Could also be that he just got his shot, no idea.
About Morgan, I saw him link the poll on his twitter the other night, so it could just be his mass of fans all flocking to vote for him while the others arent doing that, dont know though.

If the Wolfe 'match' is any indication, the poll thing won't matter a bit.
So weird they'd choose to do it that way. He debuted and had a great program against Angle, then poof back to the midcard ye go. The fans vote for him anyway, and they give him a three minute match on tv.
It's like the poll thing is lip service. " See, we're giving you what you want; sorta, but only if it doesn't run counter to what we wanna do, and if it does, we'll give it a token match and move on."

I hope Wolfe wins again so they'll realize that people want to see him so they'll finally push him.

Ive said this a few times on this forum, but I dont think that the match was intentionally supposed to be like that. The show was running really long after the opening segment (35 mins for that segment, really? uhg) and EVERYTHING after it was rushed and less impactful. The Sting/Hogan segment was rushed, and ALL of the matches were shortchanged. It just seems like bad luck that the Wolfe title shot happened to come on the same night as their horrible mismanagement of time to open the show. I mean, with 25 mins left on the show, you had The O-Zone, 2 Matches, AND the Sting/Hogan segment left. I can almost guarantee you that they didnt plan it that way. And all of those segments came off worse than they should have because of it. All speculation by me though, of course.

Eh, ya may be right; either way though if it's a slight at the fan vote or horrible time management, it's indicative of something pretty wrong there.

Some really good points have been brought up,
Injury: Means he isn't relevant in fans minds for the time being.
Twitter: Smart move by Morgan in my opinion. That makes it easy for him to get votes.
Booking: Fans aren't going to vote for someone who has been booked weak.
Those are all very valid points.

I do think it's a valid question. I am suprised at how poorly both him and Abyss are doing.
Looks like he's not the next Rock.

I think that people are confused as to whether he is a street preacher or a pimp, and are trying to determine how he can be both and they forgot to vote.

They taped the show the night after the first poll was taken down, and if you read the spoilers, it says in there how theyre gonna make it work. Since the new poll had been up less than 24 hours, they just went down the lost of the old poll. And since Wolfe got his shot, Hardy was next in line since he was #2 on the first poll. Id imagine this poll will be up until the tapings after Sacrifice, where they will then transition from the old one.

Pretty sure that's what they said the poll would be for anyway. PPV to PPV.

Pope seems to always be either talking smack, getting his ass whooped backstage by someone or wrestling Desmond Wolfe. Even if he wasn't injured they really aren't giving us much to care about with him. For a so-called pimp he has been looking pretty hoeish lately. IF he ever gets the strap I see it being long past the point of caring. Yes this still bothers me because it was just thrown out there just because....but what kind of supposed main event player gets jumped by X-Pac and Scott Hall backstage and doesn't do anything about it? There were jobbers in WCW that got jumped by the nWo in their prime and didn't just take it lying down. Imagine The Rock getting jumped by Mideon and Gangrel before a big match and just letting it slide. That's why I've always said: Don't believe anything that Hogan or Dixie says. It's not Pope's fault that he's injured. The main question is when he returns, will he get his momentum back? We'll see if they have that kind of faith in him. It remains to be seen and would prove the illogic of booking. But that's Impact...it's all about illogical bookings and protecting the top stars that have been over for years. That's WHAT the show has always been since Angle came over 4 years ago.

I think half of those Pope votes came from me during the first ranking vote. When Desmond Wolf jobbed to RVD in 3 minutes, I gave up it.

Matt Morgan can't get a TNA World title shot, he's a tag team!!!! It'd be a handicap match!!
