After voting for the top contender for the TNA title on their website, I decided just out of curiosity to look at their house show dates. Suprisingly I found out they were coming to my hometown of Ft.Wayne, IN to the Memorial Coliseum in June. I haven't been to a wrestling show in years, but depending on who was coming and what the matches were I might actually go. I know Nash and Sting don't do house shows, so I was wondering what wrestlers might actually be there. Also I was surprised to see them doing an arena the size of the Coliseum. It holds over 10,000 people for hockey games and could probably hold nearly 12,000 for a wrestling house show. Heck, the last WWE house show I saw, which was in 2002 was in the Expo Center, which holds about 4,000 fans. It especially suprised me after reading this article which interviews Jarrett about their house shows. www.tnastars.com/2010/04/05/jeff-jarrett-interview-house-shows-profitable/

By all counts, their house shows are a really great experience and worth going out to. They seem to pride themselves on putting on great shows and I've rarely heard a bad thing about them, even from the most ardent of critics.
As for the building, there was some talk, as I recall, about the fact that, for whatever reason, running larger buildings ended up being somehow cheaper than the small ones? Not sure.

TNA house shows are very much like indie shows. There's not a lot of talking, just guys going out there and throwing down. The wrestlers are friendly as well, everything is just so much fun. Highly recommend checking one out.

I was pretty surprised myself, I am about 95% sure they have never been here. Now I just wonder who will be here and what the card looks like. So far Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Shannon Moore(who I can't stand) and Madison Rayne are the only people they have announced. If it has a good card with a couple of other stars like the Pope, Samoa Joe and Desmond Wolfe I will have to get tickets.

Doesn't seem like very many matches, but basically all of the wrestlers I would want to see would be there. I would love to see RVD at a house show, but I am not sure if he is on the circuit. As long as Wolfe, Styles, and the Pope are there I would be happy, but I am kind of surprised to see Angle doing shows too. I guess Jarrett runs the shows, so I am not surprised to see him in the ring.

Personally I went to one in October and it was kind of lame to be honest....there was only 6 matches....the only good one was AJ/Joe but it was only 9 MINUTES LONG and this was a main event....and yeah the faces came out and signed autographs and stuff but theres prolly a difference now since TNA has changed since then....

Couldn't recommend them highly enough. Been to both shows in Dubiln. Both amazing. Crowds of wrestling fans walking up beside the Liffy shouting "BEER!" and "MONEY!" from alternating sides of the street. Real good atmosphere.

I too wrote up an experience with a TNA house show. HERE.It was a great time. I have been to two TNA ppv's and the house show and have no real bad things to say about their live events. I'd go again.

I went to my first and only TNA house show back in 08 w/ my mom (Last wrestling event with her before she passed in 09 ) We had ringside seats and they put on one hell of a show. The match card was not bad. -Kaz vs. Petey Williams for the X-Division title -Rhino & Super Eric vs. Rock N Rave Infection -Awesome Kong vs. Taylor Wilde for the Knockouts title -L.A.X. vs. Beer Money -Tomko vs. Christian -Main Event: Abyss vs. Samoa Joe for the TNA World Title Kurt Angle came out halfway through the show and talked to the fans and put over TNA and talked about the troops. JB also did the backstage pass thing and at the end of the show they brung out all the roster there that night and signed autographs. I def. recommend going to a TNA house show.

Their house shows are awesome.
They let the guys talk on the mic, set up their matches, and all go for a good 10-20 minutes.
Just great, GREAT stuff all around.
A lot of fun, and usually around 1000 people.

Mine sucked. Almost royally. Like, every match but the main event was so phoned in, it was pathetic. Hell, I saw more effort put into the WCW house show I attended! Which just baffled me. Everyone I'd talked with prior told me TNA house shows were great. And I don't think they were lying. Maybe I just caught the entire company on an off-night or something?
