I doubt CM Punk will be hated in ten years, mainly because he will probably end up like Jericho floating between mid-card and main event with the occasional world championship. Let's see what was going on ten years ago?
Most of the IWC thought Attitude era WWE was amazing and could do no wrong, alot of people were glad to see Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero, Malenko, and Saturn coming in. WCW was crap and pretty much ignored at this point, it was crapped on pretty much since the bad handling of Starrcade '97, and Hogan still being the focus of the show, while ignoring young talent. ECW was awesome, but rumors were going around that Heyman wasn't able to pay talent and the company was in shambles, which was true. Austin was entertaining but starting to get stale and couldn't wrestle. The Rock was entertaining, but was better as a heel and once again couldn't wrestle. Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan were probably the two biggest internet villians, and most thought they should have stepped aside for younger stars to take over. HHH was pretty popular in the IWC, especially with his 99/00 heel run. Obviously the "reign of terror" changed that, especially since it coincided with his real life marriage to Stephanie.
I guess in ten years, HHH will either be a legend, or the most hated/loved promoter in the US. I think there is a good chance ROH will still exist, but TNA won't. Once both go out of business people will say how great they were, although most do like ROH, even the TNA haters will talk about how great it was. We will be complaining that Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Jack Swagger are getting stale in the main event scene and younger wrestlers should be put over them. Flair may still be wrestling, while living in Arn Anderson's basement because he has to pay alimony to six ex-wives. Signing checks causes him to bleed profusely.

We will all be sad we are still virgins. Too late. ;D Or fleeing for our lives when the sexbots go rouge. By then HHH will be a 18 time heavyweight champion and will be the one to go over Kevin Nash in the WWE/TNA world title unification match. Because HHH unifies the belts, he will now be reconized as holding ALL of the TNA titles at once. Also, he will be reconized as holding ALL of the WWE titles. Better yet. Michael Cole will just revise history again and HHH was the holder of all the WWF/WWE/WCW/ECW/TNA/NFL/NBA/HNL/MLB/ and NCAA titles in history. Theyre were no seperate title reigns, HHH was the guy who won the first World Series and he beat Frank Gotch in vacant title match. Gotch lost in 12 seconds before 900,000 screaming fans in MSG V5

10 years from now:
Man I miss John Cena, he was hilarious and his funny catchphrases like "Poopy" and "Ham Sammich" were better than this current guy!

Or fleeing for our lives when the sexbots go rouge. Rouge sexbots? These Sonic fans are getting out of control... They got out of control when one of them named her kid after Yuji Naka. The IWC in 10 years will be just like this one, but with sharks with laser beams on their heads. Actually, what am I saying we'll be dead in 2012 anyways.

I imagine the people growing up watching it will. (Or in the case of some of us, getting old watching it) Nostalgia colors everything as time passes.
And is it me or while Attitude was entertaining for what it was, did more harm than good? Seeing as everything after it was/is a badly-done copy or watered-down version? And that is when they really pushed the "sports-entertainment"/"male soap opera" lines, which goes on to this day.

I hope I'm not a part of the IWC in 10 years.
Ever since I found out about the IWC and became a member, my enjoyment of wrestling in general has diminished.
As a kid, I saw it as fun...a sport...real. Now, as an adult, I see it as a business venture with complicated intricacies.
I've tried to walk away from the IWC but it keeps pulling me back in....I'm addicted almost. Am I the most active member on here? No. Am I on here a lot? Not really. But I check this multiple times per day...same goes for Wrestlezone my "fix" if you will.
I hope I am able to pull myself away from it before I lose my love altogether.

In 10 years: "the winner of the match and the NEW Divas Champion....MAE YOUNG!!!
In 10 years I imagine that HHH/Steph will have more power and the IWC will become an unbearable place due to unfounded HHH/Steph rhetoric.

If I'm still around in 10 years, I'll moan that no WWE Diva has ever reached the popularity of Mickie James. Heck, there might not even BE a Divas Division in 10 years. And Mickie will be moaning my name.

And Mickie will be moaning my name. Holy crap, I forgot about Mickie. In ten years, nine years after her country music career is officially over, and eight years after last appearing in a wrestling ring in TNA, Mickie James will be a complete trainwreck. She will be pilled out, appearing on reality tv shows, and a disturbing movie comes out with her and Carrottop getting it on while under the influence of cocaine. She also will have to sell her horses to a glue factory to support her drug habit. However at this point another Diva/Knockout, whatever the heck female wrestlers will be called, will have emmerged from the dust to replace her.
