I like the fact that they still think it's the 90s. I feel as if it's a nostalgia trip for me when it comes to wrestling because I get to see a lot of guys that I saw when I was growing up. It also has that similar kind of booking as well. What do you think guys?

TNA does go back to the 90's a lot. But I wish that they would push young talent over guys from the 90's.

Yeah I also like it because as a kid I didn't get the channels that RAW was on back in the 90s so I never REALLY had an Attitude Era but watching TNA gets me really excited sometimes and I REALLY want them to succeed!

Agreed, but they need to make sure that the older guys are passing the torch, they won't be around much longer. They also need to keep it simple...wrestling has gotten too crazy with their wierd twists, sometimes we just want to watch an angle with normal psychology. When they use the right workers with the right angles it beats the hell out of anything WWE puts on TV.

The fact that TNA reminds me of the 90's is one of the big reasons I don't watch Impact. It's 2010. If I want to see the 90's I'll watch an Attitude era dvd.
But I'm glad there's a few people enjoying it at least. It seems like no one does sometimes.

I love TNA, and it does seem like the 90's when I tune into impact...the best part about TNA imo is the overall in ring product and a WCWish feel to it. I want them to succeed and am happy that there is a great alternative to the WWE product.

I want a realistic down-to-earth wrestling show that's completely off the wall and swarming with magic robots. Also, you should win things by watching.

Dixie Carter is reluctant to find she's stuck in the 90s again.
Mega props for anyone to tell me who did that song.
Pro wrestling is a business you can't base on nostalgia, due to the fact that there's so much fan turnover. Some of TNA's fanbase maybe aware of Raven through TNA, but may not have seen his stuff in ECW.

Some of TNA's fanbase maybe aware of Raven through TNA, but may not have seen his stuff in ECW. And that's the problem. That 1.5 they got with Hogan is the exact zenith of what they'll get pushing nostalgia acts. The stereotypical TNA fan is the type of guy who used to watch WWE who complains wrestling is now "kiddie". That's too shallow a pool to draw from.

If TNA is Attitude Era is WWE New Generation? Or earlier? WWE is on top but static or worse. TNA can't get traction. If TNA didn't have all the washed up "stars" then would they be any better off? It's debatable. The whole industry seems to be in decline, and unless someone comes up with something NEW it always will be.

NewGen was actually somewhat darker since guys like Razor were showing up--I think WWE now is actually 80s WWF. TNA is of course anything that was popular late 90s. Both are unfortunately treading water, but WWE seems more willing to take risks on younger talent.

I like some of the nostalgia, but the fact that it is what the company is building around is not good. Just look at the world champion, RVD. He was easily one of the most popular stars in the late 90s and early 00s, heck even up to his end in the WWE. Also they alot of stars that were big in the WWE and WCW over their own homegrown stars, this makes their promotion look weak, which is why WWE rarely does it.
Just look at ROH, Christopher Daniels has come in and gotten alot of attention. But in his first match on ROH tv he losses to Roderick Strong, one of the top ROH stars. Daniels didn't look bad, I am sure it drew in interest and it doesn't make ROH's talent look inferior.

Corndog, the thing with RVD is that he's not trying to be a nostalgia act. In theory he's TNA's big free agent signing. Ironically, TNA had done a very nice job of repackaging RVD as "Mr. TNA" and getting him away from ECW and his WWE run. Of course now they have him veering back to the ECW roots, which in turn makes him come off like a nostalgia act.
I don't get the bizarre rush to get rid of guys that are 40 years old. Would anyone say that Flair was washed up in 1989? Or Bruno Sammartino was washed up in the mid 70s, when he was feuding with Stan Hansen? Nick Bockwinkel was a great wrestler all through his 40s. Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker were both in their mid 40s having awesome WM matches.
It's funny that Daniels was mentioned since he is about 39 years old himself. Considering he's still listed on the TNA website do we know that TNA didn't just send him to ROH for a while with the intent of bringing him back? If so, ROH would be foolish to put him over much of anyone.
