So I'm sitting here watching the TNA Best of 2007 DVD and was reminded that Chris Harris existed. But seriously, after the shock that Chris Harris wasn't Braden Walker at one point, I thought about how Chris Harris' leaving to WWE may have damaged America's Most Wanted's legacy. AMW went from being TNA's premier and original tag team to a footnote in history. And with Beer Money's recent success and great strings of matches, I wonder if Beer Money has actually surpassed AMW. And something else to think about, is Robert Roode a better partner for James Storm than Chris Harris was?

Definitely. There's just a better all-around chemistry with Beer Money, and to be honest, I think they're more over than AMW was. I know it's hard to judge, seeing how EVERYTHING is over with the crowd in the Impact Zone.

Okay, I rarely watch TNA. I was sort of paying attention when Beer Money first got together, and I thought it was a joke that two single wrestlers were randomly thrown together and using their individual characteristics and traits to make a silly team name. But apparently they made it work, from all the praise they get.
So tell me, do they come off as a legit tag team rather than two midcarders thrown together? And is Storm still a drunk, while Roode is rich?

And while they've downplayed the drunk/rich guy format, it's still somewhat there.

They have good chemistry together, and it helps that both are quite good even on their own. Their individual roles as beer drinker and money maker are downplayed so it's just underlying to their tag team skills. Storm does have the bruiser cruiser, spits beer in opponent's faces, and smashes bottles over skulls... and Roode shouts "MONEY!" in the tag team taunt. It works because they focus on the wrestling, and don't take the gimmick roles too far.

AMW vs. Styles/Daniels is still better than any feud I've seen Beer Money involved in. I guess Beer Money are a better team, but AMW had better booking on their side.

Yes, although the "James Storm is gonna be a huge singles champ!" stuff really petered out after awhile. I don't think Beer Money should be broken up like AMW was.

It depends. I'd say Beer Money are a better all-around team, but they haven't done anything close to the Styles/Daniels feud. AMW also were in one of TNA's all time greatest matches against XXX, which is something Beer Money has not done either. Maybe we can see that with the Motor City Machineguns.

Yeah but to be far until now, Beer Money until now with the MCMG. They never faced a team that was like Daniels/AJ or XXX. Two talented smaller guys. AMW where good and had better matches because they faced good in ring teams all the time. Beer Money had to deal with Booker T and Steiner for example and got good matches out of Team 3D. If Beer Money faced Daniels and Styles in a Tag match or XXX. I could seen them be just as good if not better then AMW.

I hated the name at first, but I think Roode and Storm are the better team.

Beer Money>>>>>AMW
The STyles/Daniels vs. AMW, AMW/XXX, and AMW/Naturals feuds all were boring. Good matches, boring feud.
Beer Money as an entity have been way over and way more interesting than AMW ever could hope to be.
Also Roode>>>>>>>>>>>>Harris

Storm had a good gimmick as a beer drinking cowboy, and got where he is today with what talent he has.
Chris Harris... what the hell was gimmick anyway? And he wasn't really even that good. I mean, if he didn't care about himself enough to get in shape for the opportunity of a lifetime to be in the WWE, then he will never ever be a success in the wrestling business.
So to answer your question, hell yes Beer Money has surpassed AMW!

The weight gain was for WWE. Unfortunately, he probably just should've roided up. Poor Chris Harris...I still like you, man.
Anyway, last time this question was posed, I voted AMW but now I voted Beer Money. The successful "face" run last year and the fact that they're still going really strong (heel again/Fortune) has put them on top now for me.

A best of AMW dvd would be much better quality wise than a best of Beer Money one.
I also don't know why so many suddenly forgot how much better Harris was than Storm while they teamed up. Yeah he sucked afterward, but it's shitty revisionist history to say he was crap back then. As for his gimmick, when they were heels, I figured he was the straight man to Storm's drunk gimmick. It was a great combination.
