Yes yes I know Rellik is killer spelled backwards. Now that that is out of the way what did you think of the gimmick? I honestly thought it had a ton of potential and don't get why they never even tried to push him. I really think Rhode's Black Reign gimmick held Rellik back. Also you have to admit. It was a much more original gimmick than Abyss. Also I think Rellik was a better wrestler than Abyss. Not that Abyss is bad or anything but I just don't get how he has stayed in TNA for as long as he has especially considering how much weight he had gained the fact that he can't do as much or go as fast as he use to in the ring. I also think another reason Rellik may never be able to get anywhere is his attitude. Here is a guy who was trained by WCW's powerplant and debuted at a very young age. From a post he put on his Myspace where he says why he quit the Lucha Libre group AAA a while ago he seems to be pretty bitter about the business and obviously feels like a victim. I'm sure there are many out there that don't feel he paid his dues which is probably a big reason why no one from the power plant Natural Born Thrillers class ever went very far. They all had potential but none of them ever made it into the main event. It's like they were a generation of wrestlers that just got completely passed over because they got trained by a company that died just a couple years after they debuted. I think down the line he still might have a chance to make it but the clock is certainly ticking for him now being at 33 years old.

He was Bizarro Goldberg. I found it really weird that someone with that appearance would be used as a jobber.

I like him. When he was here in HWA he was supercool.
I think he has a ton of potential and could be a good name. The Redrum/Rellik gimmick was a good move in that it got him away from playing the Italian Goomba he was being typecast as. Too bad a gimmick like that only leads to gimmick matches in TNA against Abyss
I truthfully wish they would give him another look. Probably one of the best talents produced by the Power Plant

One think I always liked about Rellik is that since his first WCW days he has greatly improved in the ring. He added a lot more martial arts based stuff that really fit the gimmick for some strange reason.

There was some potential. He had a unique look with that glued on face mask, and the name Rellik was actually pretty cool sounding...till TNA overplayed the "killer spelled backwards" part-as if we were not smart enough to see that from day one. And he was a decent hoss-a freakin huge guy who could actually move and sell, what a concept! But yeah, teaming with Black Reign and feuding with "hero" Eric Young really killed the whole thing off.

The character was cool; it was like a US version of Muta now minus the talent and if I am not mistaken, he came up with that character to feud with Muta in Japan.

What's with the Muta clones in TNA? There was Rellik and Kiyoshi, IIRC.
Why can't they just hire Muta himself?

He added a lot more martial arts based stuff that really fit the gimmick for some strange reason. in an interview with JTB, he said that he was originally signed just to hold the fort down until Judas Mesias was healthy, but Dutch Mantell saw his feud with Muta and decided to sign him to a contract. Only problem was they really didn't know what to do with him.

Hopefully he has a better run in Lucha USA. He should since Mark Jindrak is booking it. Him and Jindrak are good friends going back to their Power Plant days. Also I wouldn't call him a Muta clone. Sure hsi mask is somewhat similar to the mask Muta wore but that is about where it ends. He actually wasn't the original person behind the Muta clone gimmick. He was chosen by a friend of his to take it from him who had to retire from a bad injury ending his career. He actually came up with the Rellik gimmick after he got back from Japan and had a mask modeled more off of Freddie Kreuger made.

That mask looks scarier then millions of Freddy Kruger masks made before it. It's has a demon Freddy look to it from Freddy vs. Jason.
