The Great Khali caused riots in airports and personal appearances throughout India.

The Great Khali caused riots in airports and personal appearances throughout India. Same thing happened in Japan, except then it was because they thought he was a kaiju.

TNA is dying alright, it's suffering from a pretty big crowd in a non-wrestling event.
But seriously, I never never really knew that India knew about TNA, but then again, they do have an Animax.

On one hand it's good for TNA, on the other I'd think you'd get 4000+ to a taping of Wrestlicious in India

People in India are very appreciative of entertainers coming to see them. They are a very kind a respectful people. I went there one time for business and they are HUGE into wrestling in that area of the world. Tons of pirated shirts and DVDs. I was in a market and laughed my ass off with my friend looking at a "John Sena" DVD a guy was trying to sell.

I know they went crazy when TNA sent guys over there a few years back, with Sonjay, Shark Boy and Simon Diamond, though I think less people were around.
And from the video, it was a press tour, and a discussion of good eating and dieting. Though, I must ask: Talking about dieting to Indian people? Really?
Also, like how they're called "Super Heroes" on the banners.

TNA is huge in India, they should capitalize on it.

In all seriousness, TNA should consider running events in India. WWE hasn't been there since 2002 and there's a tremendous market for the product there.

They should rehire sonjay, even though the real sonjay was a terrorist

In all seriousness, TNA should consider running events in India. WWE hasn't been there since 2002 and there's a tremendous market for the product there. TNA has many stars from the attitude era which majority of the Asians know and admire. They can actually focus on the market there and be number one in Asia eventhough they are number 2 in North America. They sent Jay Lethal to India because they have big plans for him..I love Lethal and I really want him to become a world champ some day.

Pretty sure they got the same reaction when they sent SHARK BOY over to India a few years ago, so I wouldn't reach much into Jay Lethal being sent to do this particular press tour. In fact, Lethal might have been on that first India tour.
