I got this off rajah.com
WWE canceled its entire house show schedule for the weekend of July 4th due to poor ticket sales. The events have been rescheduled for December.
Does this just show you the state of the WWE nowdays ? I don't understand. There were running a show Saturday in Biloxi and Sunday in Pensacola, both beach-front locations. A lot of people go to the beach on the 4th of July. How hard is it sell tickets at areas next to the beach, when a lot of people are going to be at the beach anyways ? It seems like an easy sell, considering both shows start at night and it would give families something extra to do after spending a day at the beach.
Instead, the WWE has moved the Biloxi show to a Sunday in December. I looked up that date and that Sunday the Saints are playing the Rams at 3. The house show starts at 5. That is going to be an even worse ticket sale. As hot as the Saints are, a lot of people in the vicinity are going to be staying home to watch the game, and game probably won't end till 6 pm.
So anyway, it is exemplary how the WWE current product is in the crapper if they can't arenas on the beach during a 4th of July weekend ?

They cancelled and rescheduled here too. I don't know why they did it but when they aired the commercial about tickets they said there are still plenty available.
Last time they were here I asked Mark Henry how the show was and he said in a soft sad voice "It was pretty good. It wasn't sold out though."

Didja hear about the oil spill in the Gulf? I doubt the beachfront in that area is going to be very happening this July 4th.

Right now the tourist business on the coast, has taken a pounding thanks to the oil spill. So it's the WWE having poor sales, it's everyone having poor business thanks to the oil spill.

You said "oil spill" three times in that post. Does that mean Oiljuice is going to appear?

This post made me think: if this was 1994 think of the all the material Lawler would have on Raw about Razor Ramon's hair.

Swerve, CM Punk caused the oil spill because he's a heat generator.

Yeah, I live near Biloxi. Tourism is kinda dead here right now thanks to the oil spill.

Swerve, CM Punk caused the oil spill because he's a heat generator. If we could figure out a way to harness this heat, CM Punk could totally reverse our dependence on foreign oil.
