This is from the poor man's Rajah, PWPIX, so take it with a truckload of salt. But really, would you be surprised if this ended up happening? {Spoiler}While original plans called for Rob Van Dam to retain his TNA World Heavyweight Championship in the 4-Way match at next month's Victory Road pay-per-view, there is now talk of Abyss winning the title. Hulk Hogan in particular is pushing for Abyss to win the strap. This would mean Hogan's match with Abyss at Bound for Glory would be with the title on the line.
Meanwhile, Van Dam's scheduled Bound for Glory match with Kurt Angle would be for the No. 1 contender's spot rather than the title.
A final decision has not been made but either Van Dam or Abyss will leave Victory Road as champion. I don't really care either way, but I'm sure that there are lots of you who would have strong opinions.

Honestly, it doesn't really bother me. It could be interesting if they handle it well.

Anyone who picked BFG as the time Hogan will win the title should be prepared to celebrate if this si true.

*Ugh* Abyss Vs. Hogan Abyss Vs. Hogan for the title Dear Lord...would that match would SUCK. I'm so sick of Abyss being shoved down my throat. It's 100 times worse than WWE with John Cena.

You know, if this match is really booked, this will be the time when Hogan wins the title, simply because Hogan said he didn't want it.

The only problem I see is that Hogan may legit blow his back out on a bodyslam this time.

If this actually does happen and they seriously try to go with Abyss vs. Hogan for the TITLE at Bound For Glory, there is no way I would even want to watch that show. Besides, isn't the entire point of having this 4 way so that RVD can retain and show that he's a better champion than Cena or Swagger, who both lost?

Just to be safe: {Spoiler}Honestly, even without watching Impact the last 2 weeks, it seems like a forgone conclusion Abyss would win the title to carry the momentum of his heel turn. Of course, this is obviously gonna lead to a Abyss vs. Hogan Main Event (which nobody wants in 2010). I've haven't watched any WWE lately and might watch TNA every now and then, but if this leads to a Hogan title win (at any time), I will truly be finished with mainstream wrestling.

Different guys, different skill sets, different companies, but somehow one champion is better than the other two because they retained during a fatal 4 way? Makes no sense. I'm wondering how Hogan's going to get the boot up that high on Abyss. What'll really make me LOL is if Abyss starts selling HBK style on Hogan, just because the match will be nigh unwatchable otherwise.

I could see the merit of Abyss going nuts and laying out everyone in his path en route to the title, but not if the end game is Hogan beating him at BFG. What possible point is there in putting the belt on Hogan? All he would do is be a lame duck transition champ to Kurt Angle (since I would assume Angle is winning against RVD at BFG). Or would Hogan simply retire with the belt and TNA can the one thing they have a hard on for: A tournament~!
Honestly, if Hogan was serious about getting Abyss over he would do a mega huge stretcher job for him at BFG and it would be the end of Hulkamania. Then Angle can be the savior of TNA and take out the monster.
Basically it sucks to be RVD if all of this goes down, since he gets buried in all of these scenarios.

Well, one other thing to consider is this: How exactly can Hogan end up #1 on the top 10 to justify getting a title shot? He hasn't wrestled in 4 years aside from the one tag match on March 8. Is he simply going to put himself #1 on the list out of nowhere? Keep in mind that Hogan is having back surgery this week, so the nerve of this guy is amazing (if this is even true).
Seriously, if Hogan simply puts himself in the main event title match of BFG against Abyss that is TNA going out of their way to suck. It's one thing to do some nonsense like Bret Hart winning the secondary US title to pop a home country crowd, it is another to have Hogan going for the World title on the biggest PPV of the year.

I'd rather see Abyss go over Hogan at BFG in a non-title match and have Angle beat RVD for the belt leading to Angle vs Abyss down the road with Abyss taking the belt and having a monsterous title reign
