With so much of the WWE main event either injured or on leave we have a good portion of their former 2005 - 2009 guys competing in TNA. They really could use guys like Rob Van Dam, Elijah Burke, Ken Kennedy, and Jeff Hardy right about now.

I agree.
I agree that TNA can't make their own stars. (K, maybe Pope.)

I agree that TNA can't make their own stars. (K, maybe Pope.) Pope was a guy that seemed to be on the brink of being a star in WWE. He had all the tools, they just never went the extra mile with him. When he went to TNA he was pretty much destined to be a star. I think the WWE's doing fine. I actually think they're in the best position in years; guys are getting further up the ladder, getting over with crowds and looking like legitamate threats a lot quicker. Some quicker than others? Sure. Are some in the wrong position on the roster? Sure. But that happens with every wrestling company.

Hopefully, in a year's time, WWE will be able to better establish some of their potential new main eventers. As for the list of the TNA guys, it would've been great to keep them but, almost to a person, they had reasons for leaving that I don't think they could've worked out with WWE.

Is Pope really a star anymore? It seems to me that he's been lost in the shuffle like everyone else just like he was in WWE.

uh, NO RVD - if he wanted to work for WWE he'd be there Elijah Burke - got over like a lead fart during his first WWE run Ken Kennedy - was injured most of his WWE career, they wouldn't resign him, not yet anyway Jeff Hardy - see RVD

The WWE is doing fine without them. Plus they have a ton of new talent WWE can make into that could be better than those 4.

RVD and Hardy appear to be both drug related, while Burke and Kennedy both just missed the mark during their time.

Kennedy didn't "miss the mark". He legit PO'd the top talent at him.

Burke? Kennedy? They're not stars yet, and potential aside, WWE has plenty of other guys who have the talent to become main eventers, if they were pushed.
RVD and Hardy are stars that could be useful from a business perspective... except that certain, ah, lifestyle choices on both their parts mean WWE isn't exactly going to trust either of them with a high-profile role again.
And the other TNA guys with name value that could actually be beneficial to WWE (Angle, Sting, Nash) are all also in the HHH/Undertaker age range where they really can't work all the time anymore, and probably don't have many years left in the tank.
So, no, there really isn't too much WWE would gain from TNA not existing at this time.

Only Kurt Angle really. Then again, he already had a full WWE career.

I think TNA has a larger roster two hours of live television and a few house shows a month justifies, but I do not think it's eating into WWE.

Even as a Burke and Hardy fan, I doubt WWE would want any of those guys on their roster right now. Hardy due to his pending drug charges, and probable prison sentence. Kennedy because he's a locker room parasite.
