Honestly... I'm about two more posts from deleting posts referencing that long-ago Batista basketball moment. You kidding me? People compare every slightly bad angle around here to Katie Vick, which now occurred almost EIGHT years ago. To say this place is the land that time forgot would be an understatement. It's not the problem in referencing the quote, it's just it being done OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER so much so that whenever you go into a photoshop thread the "LOLZ BASKETBALL" joke is in the first 3 posts

Hopefully he was smart and saved some of it. I'd like to think that wrestlers are more aware of the need to do that, and future generations won't be full of poor, old wrestlers.

Let's not even get into the Scott Steiner dead horse. Thankfully (and hopefully), that one seems to be fading into obscurity.

If he wasn't happy anymore he wasn't happy. Good for him being able to walk away and not hang around way past his usefulness.

Mabe he just trains in MMA because he wants to be fit and healthy. Mabe he left WWE because he just doesn't like the travel and/or lost his passion for it. Mabe Batista was at the event because he's a fan of MMA and wants to enjoy the show.

Why the hell does every person in the world seem like they're training in MMA?

Why the hell does every person in the world seem like they're training in MMA? Seems to be the new hip trend in exercising. Like Pilate and yoga had a boom at one point. MMA training (not necessarily to fight in it ) is the new fad that will deflate a bit but not exactly go away.

I've been here for years and I don't even know where the whole basketball thing came from. "Basketballs don't hold grudges" was a promo line Batista had during the Khali feud after Khali crushed a basketball. To be honest, its not nearly as annoying as "Who are you to doubt El Dandy", which wasn't even funny in the first place and came from a period of WCW when people were leaving in droves.

The Scott Steiner "He's Fat!" thing is the only meme around here I genuinely can't stand. I wish someone would take down that YouTube video so people could stop posting it. As for Batista, he may be a bit of a heel in real life, but seriously? Kudos to anyone who can freely walk away from this business. There are many guys who will openly admit that they're miserable but stay wrestling anyway either due to financial concerns (like Hogan or Flair) or simply because it's so deep in their blood that they can never walk away (like Hogan or Flair). Although, in Flair's case, wrestling is the only thing he's ever really wanted to do and, from interviews, you get the impression that he'd wrestle forever if a company would have him. But yeah, good on you for knowing when to call it quits, Dave. I genuinely don't see him becoming either an MMA or a movie star, but dude could live comfortably in perpetuity with the money he's made. Hell, he could live better than comfortably. For a loooong time. So long as he doesn't go walking down the aisle without a pre-nup anytime soon.

"Who you are to doubt El Dandy" is pure awesome. Its Bret's delivery that makes it.

He's FAT is actually kind of funny because of Steiner's deliberate overemphasis of FAT in the phrase, but I can see why people would be sick of it by now. Its rather limited, as is I DON'T KNNOOOWWW.
The El Dandy thing...meh. I guess if you really liked Bret on the mic its funny but it never really did anything for me, partly because Bret always seemed to underact his lines IMO. What made it start to get obnoxious is that it was basically outlasted any other meme on the site and kept getting tossed around long after El Dandy was relevant. The fact that all the "big" memes relate to people and events that are years old kinda makes alot of the humor on the site forced. At least "Jamaican Me Crazy" relates to a guy who's still...there.
We really need a horrible mic gaffe from SOMEONE to make an interesting meme out of...our stuff is getting really forced.

If Batista was 10 or so years younger I could see him giving a legit run at MMA. But the dude is 40 going on 41 and MMA is a young mans game. Lesnar was in his late 20's when he started going into MMA hell even Lashley who was 32ish when he went into MMA which compared to big Dave seems really young.
Batista is going to do a few MMA fights get his ass kicked do a few B-movies and then go to TNA or back to WWE.

He'll be in a bunch of Direct to DVD movies probably the sequel to his movie with RVD, also he's going to make tons of money because of all the endorsements he does in the phillipines.
i wouldn't be shocked if he makes movies in the phillipines. I mean most actors there don't even speak tagalog.
