Honestly, his current theme is so... underwhelming.
The version I heard was that Finger Eleven no longer wanted the WWE to use it or something like that, or otherwise some sort of entanglement of legalese.
Either way, do they have the rights to the melody now? His theme now is still pretty much the same song, just missing the melody lines and, well, much of an impact. What stopped him from just reverting to "Burned" or "Out of the Fire"?

Either Finger Eleven and WWE worked out a deal where they use it for a certain amount of time, or the decision makers in WWE decided it was time for a new direction. If I recall, Kane got a new theme as he was having one of his many personality revamps, when he was becoming darker and more menacing.

I guess to play up that Kane was being all psychotic again (this was during that terrible torture angle with Rey Mysterio).

I definitely think this theme was a huge step backwards, "Slow Chemical" was awesome....... I'm more pissed that after what felt like a decade, his "new" attire consisted of adding a little bit of gray and probably removing even more red.

My god, to this day I still play Day of Reckoning 1 on the Gamecube and load up my horrible create-a-wrestler just to mark out when "Firefly" plays during the menu "Slow Chemical" blasts during her loooong entrance. ;D
Best theme of the post-Attitude Era by a WIDE margin.

I never understood the change either. Slow Chemical was perfect.

They should just make a new version of his original theme. I mean, if you listen to the Undertaker's original theme, and listen to his current one, you can hear the difference - but (having spent some time away from watching wrestling) when I first heard the current theme, I didn't know it was a new 'improved' version.
They should do that with Kane's, but do a good job, you know? Instead of 'doing a Bret Hart' with it.

As much as I love "Slow Chemical" as a song, I don't know if it really fits Kane, especially when you listen to the lyrics. Or actually, it fits pretty well if you take into account the whole Katie Vick thing...which I prefer to forget.

As far as the lyrics go though, who's to say that (Kane-fabe) they're referring to his doomed romance with Lita? She WAS carrying his child and all....willing or not.

I still think he should use Am I Evil? by Diamond Head.

I still think he should use Am I Evil? by Diamond Head. So Mrs. Calloway was a witch who was burned alive? Wouldnt that mean taker and kane have been around since the salem witch trials (now i have this image of taker in puritan attire)?

I don't know why, I'm just glad they finally stopped using it.

If they're going to use this theme, the best thing for them to do would be to at least do the intro-asplode-theme that they used to do.
I honestly think that if they did that, it would make up for no mask Kane.

It was because they were trying to revamp his character to be a monster heel. The new theme was supposed to sound slower and darker and fit his new attitude.
