Why? I know he was injured. Now, I'm sad.

He got injured by Rey Mysterio botching a move. Orbital bone I believe.

Rey Mysterio's knee brace is a potential weapon.

Rey Mysterio's knee brace is a potential weapon. He's a menace and must be stop! J. Jonah Jameson is on the case!

Rey Mysterio's knee brace is a potential weapon. He's a menace and must be stop! J. Jonah Jameson is on the case! He's gonna have to frame him in order for that to work. Every time a wrestler is injured, it's Rey Mysterio's fault.

It seemed like a really odd way to write him out to me. Did they have to do something that final or ae they just going to continue to insult us by having "get better" from his vegetative state whenever he decides to come back. Although the Ian Malcolm line about "reports of my death were greatly exaggerated" comes to mind.
Honestly, if he had decided to hang it up for good, I would think they would have treated him with a little more respect than to go with this bulls***, mid day soap opera storyline?
That's why I'm still waiting for the brilliant writing team to add yet another convoluted layer to the Undertaker/Kane story. Seeing as how the Undertaker's "demise" is purely predicated on the word of Kane(who found him) it leaves a little wiggle room that Kane tried to repay his brother for leaving him to die, by doing the same in kind. Although someone should probably explain to the WWE writing team that a coma and a vegetative state are two different things. People have been known to come out of comas but not usually once it progresses to persistant vegetation.
Here's another thing that bugs me. The whole "he was found over the weekend" thing. How many times have wrestling fans had to endure the words "____ found dead" over the past several years. I know they probably didn't consider that that choice of words might be unsettling to some, but still......
Those are my issues with this angle. I'm sure there will be more.

The whole thing is pretty stupid - unless it's building for a YOUNG, FRESH monster heel talent, like Shad Gaspard (who I'm thinking was the culprit if it wasn't Kane)
No matter what happens, as long as we don't get Taker/Kane 3 at Mania 27 I'll be happy.

I had an idea about this angle. It probably won't happen, but what if it's Shawn Michaels behind the attack? He could be mad that 'Taker ended his career and watching the Dead Man earn a title shot was just too much for Shawn's ego to handle. He promised to beat the Undertaker and now he has - by taking away his title shot and ending his career. Kane wants revenge for his brother, but heel Shawn's still retired and now milking it so Kane can't touch him.

I had an idea about this angle. It probably won't happen, but what if it's Shawn Michaels behind the attack? I think it will be Triple H, and he'll insinuate that Kane commited incest and necrophilia. The next week, Triple H will dress up as Kane and screw a Undertaker mannequin. He'll ask "what do you call this act?" and Kane will say "The Kaneristocrats!"

I do remember the Undertaker ending Shawn Micheals's career. I don't think he had anything to do with it. It's a possibility. I guess.

Unless Vince McMahon considered it highbrow, witty entertainment, of course.

Anyone else shocked that Rey takes out Taker then takes his spot? Yeah me either. Rey is the real taker here.
